Part VII RAGHU IGNORED AGAIN!
Aaji wandered around the house in happiness. Today her Chintu was going to propose her Chhakuli! What else did she want in her life? Bas aaj Raghu Antara ko ILU ILU bolde phir main toh Bhurji Paav ki party doongi! Antara kitni khush ho jaayegi Raghu ki baat sunkar! Bechaari! Kitne saalon se Antara wait kar rahi thi is pal ka! Arre! Woh kya? Main aur Machmach bhi wait kar rahe the! Par yeh yeda Raghu baat ko samajhta hi nahi hai! Maine toh kitni baar dono ko har pooja ya tyohaar pe paas paas bithaaya hai! Aur kitne saare paintre lagaaye dono ko paas laane ke liye! Par yeh Raghu! Samajhta nahi hai baat ko! Kitna dard sahaa meri Antara ne is Raghu ki wajah se! Jab bhi usse baat karne jaati, yeh yeda toh use dhyaan hi nahi deta! Aur dhyaan deta toh bhi tabhi hi jab Antara usse ladti! Raghu ke shabdon ne Antara ko kitna dard diya hoga, nahi? She huffed. Is Raghu ko toh na saja milni chaahiye hum sabko itna pareshaan karne ke liye! Suddenly, a frown took over her face. Par Raghu toh aaj sab jaake bol dega phir Antara bhi apni dil ki baat bolegi! Phir Raghu ne hum logon ko itna sataaya uska badla kaise lenge? Suddenly, an evil smirk took over Aaji's face, if Antara had seen it she would gulped in fear, if Machmach had seen he would have gone into hiding and if Raghu had seen it he would have run away from the house. But unfortunately for Raghu and fortunately for Aaji, no one saw the smirk and hence, no one got suspicious. Aaji called Antara and chatted with her for a while! As she cut the phone she smiled smugly. Ab Raghu ko pata chalega ki jab hum kisise pyaar karte hai, woh humein dhyaan na dein toh dil par kya beet ti hai! Then Aaji's expression turned into that of apology and she mumbled, "Sorry haan! Maajha Chintu! Tere ko aaj sataane ke liye! Par kya karoon? Antara ki taraf bhi toh meri jimmedaari hai! Use bhi toh insaaf milna chaahiye! Par tu fikar mat kar, yeh sab sirf aaj ke liye! Kal tu apni dil ki baat bol dena. Bas yeh ek din tu sehle!"
Antara looked at the phone in confusion. Yeh Aaji kya bol rahi thi? Raghu ko poora din ignore karoon? Par kyun? She shrugged. Theek hai! Jaisa Aaji bole! Kuch soch samajh ke hi bola hoga! She turned towards making tea.
Raghu smiled happily as he walked towards Antara's house. It was only 7 in the morning but Raghu was determined that he will tell his feelings to Antara today itself. Chaahe kuch bhi ho jaaye! Waise bhi agar baat karunga toh hi sach ka pata chalega! Aur waise bhi Aaji ne kahaa na ki Antara kisi se pyaar nahi karti! Waise aur kisise pyaar karti toh bhi mujhe toh baat karni hi padhegi. Aaji ne kasam jo de rakhi hai! He threw a glare at his house. He marched towards Antara's house and knocked on the door. Antara opened the door and her expression made Raghu take a step back. She was glaring at him and this expression was directed towards him from her after a long time and that surprised Raghu. "Tum yahaan?", Antara mumbled in annoyed voice as she acted to be annoyed at him. After all that is the only way she could avoid him. "Woh mereko tere se baat karne ka hai!", Raghu spoke. Antara shrugged, "Toh?" Raghu looked around, "Toh andar aaun?" Antara shook her head, "Nahi! Yahin khade rehke bolo!" Raghu's jaw dropped and after a second, "Yahin pe?", he whispered. Antara frowned, "Haan!" Raghu hesitated, "Par idhar kaise..." Antara replied, "Toh theek hai! Mat baat karo!" and she slammed the door at his face. Raghu took another step back in reflex. Yeh Antara ko kya hogaya? The whole morning he continued to grab Antara's attention but Antara under Aaji's order refused to budge. He wanted to come in and she wanted to talk to him on the door way. She remained stubborn and he remained confused. Soon, it was 8:30 and Raghu had to go to Office. He looked at Antara's house sadly and walked away to his house to collect his bag. Aaji giggled as she stared at Raghu from her terrace. Sorry haan! Raghu! Bas ek din ruk jaa!
Even after reaching office, Raghu did not budge. He had to talk today itself! Raghu determined. He called her every one hour. But our Antara was also stubborn. She either ignored his phone call or told him that she was busy. Poor Raghu! The whole day he spent doing nothing but trying to convince Antara to talk to him. And here Antara was also confused about the height of desperation Raghu showed for talking to her. Aisi kya baat hai ki yeh Raghu paagal hue ja raha hai?
The evening was also a lost cause for him. Aaji had pretty smartly told Maami to take Antara to Mahalakshmi as Antara's fnal year results declaration were nearing. Our nave Maami agreed and hence, when Raghu came home, he found Antara nowhere. And by the time Antara came back it was too late to go and talk to her.
Raghu sat on the cot on the terrace with a miserable face. Aaji smirked at his expression but then arranged her face into concerned one. "Chintu! Tu ne aaj Antara se baat ki na? Kya boli woh? Mereko pata hai! Usne bhi tereko ILU ILU bola hoga na? Aur kya bolti woh? Mera Chintu hai hi itna badhiya ki koi use manaa kar hi nahi sakta?" "Aaji...", Raghu groaned and Aaji spoke in concerned tone, "Arre! Kya hua re? Tu ne baat ki na?" Raghu shook his head, "Time hi nahi mila. Woh har waqt busy thi! Aur bahut ghusse mein bhi thi!" Aaji rolled her eyes, "Ghusse mein toh rahegi na! Tu apna mooh uthaake chala gaya hoga uske ghar, khaali haath hilaate hue, aur bola hoga...", she imitated Raghu, "Mereko tere se baat karne ka hai!" Raghu frowned, "Agar aisa jaake baat karega toh kaun si ladki tere se baat karegi re? Thoda pyaar se baat karne ka!" Raghu looked at her in confusion, "Pyaar se?" Aaji shook her head, "Pyaar se matlab woh angrezi mein kya bolte hai...haan...romenctic hone ka!" Raghu smiled softly, "Romenctic nahi Aaji! Romantic!" Aaji glared at him, "Mereko idhar samjhaate baith par udhar usse aise yede ke maafik baat mat kar!" She snapped her fingers and pointed at him, "Dekh Raghu! Agar jald hi kuch nahi hua na toh main hi Antara ki shaadi kisi aur se karwa degi! Samjhaa na?" She threw a last glare at him and marched away. Raghu looked at his Aaji in shock. Aaj yeh ho kya raha hai? Subhe woh Antara ghusse mein thi aur ab yeh Aaji! Lagta hai aaj ka din-ich kharaab hai! Chal beta Raghu so le! Warna aaj tera bad luck dekhke lagta hai aur do teen daant khaane ko milegi!
