I think it is already very clear that everyone loves Raghu's character- right from his attitude, his concern, his way of handling and understanding people, looks and most importantly, his rowdy sense of humor.

But there is always a mixed reaction towards her character. And I feel almost all point of views are very correct in their own sense, so much so that you fail to raise objections towards the various POVs. Everyone agrees that her attitude towards Raghu is completely irrational MOST OF THE TIMES. But then the justification being the circumstances. From a safe and sheltered environment she was suddenly put into a completely new world, a world where all her morals and ideologies land her in troubles. From Daddy's little princess she was suddenly forced to become the caretaker and decision maker of her family.

But I just thought and may be her behavior has some fixed pattern,
1. When she sees Raghu going on with all his gundagardi ways, her mind stops working, she fails to understand his intentions behind those actions, however right he may be. His attitude, the authority in his voice when he declares things( as in the precap) irks her. For eg. the doctor appointment thing, when he had ousted her and her family from his basti due to his ego, etc.

2. But at the same time, when he loses the gundagardi touch, she softens towards him. Eg. when he almost talked about his mother's death today, or when he was worried about Ajji, she did not retaliate back rudely even when he was shouting on her or was reluctant in thanking her, also when in yesterday's episode she went to tell him that she has decided to stay back, he was not in his gunda form, even the temple scene yesterday.

As most of u have already analysed the reason foe her hatred towards gundagardi and violence, it only makes sense when she reacts the way she does as i stated in point no.1. She has not had any time to adjust with the surroundings and with the loss that she has suffered, it is a huge one. And moreover her stay in Bombay has been so eventful (if i may say so) till now, that she has hardly got time to COMPLETELY come to terms with the situation.

Of course as viewers, from a third person point of view it is really annoying the way she treats Raghu at times, for example in today's precap when she questions his position in her life to take decisions related to her family. As Escape.My.Love (i am sorry i do not know ur real name) noted in one of her posts today, he is craving to be someone important in some one's life , but being involved in her own struggles and problems, Antara fails to understand this. And to be honest, being in her situation it would be really abnormal to see her being very tolerant towards gundagardi and violence. even when intentions are good. So i guess that is really logical for the character to be that way. As we do not want another Tulsi or Parvati who are never wrong what so ever. Her character is very real in that sense, and that is why i like her.

I totally agree with you infact, I adore the chemistry between Raghu and Antara and would love to see her softening her stand towards him and then I put myself in her shoes, an educated girl who takes no nonsense from anyone and then there is this thuggish goonda guy who is totally opposite of everything I stand for and he's arrogant and rude and throws me my little brother, my sick mother out in an unknown city and even calls my mom nautanki, I sure as well wont be trusting this guy anythime soon, no matter how nice he's been to me, he reverts to his goonda behaviour every once in a while.
It is going to take Antara some time to understand Raghu and more importantly herself. She is no longer the same carefree girl she was and she herself as a person is evolving thrust into a role of responsibility and its in this role that she's wary of Raghu as its not just about her, but about her mom and Ishaan, she is after all the head of this family now.

Yeah..it is much easier to understand her behavior when we try to oput ourselves in her shoes, then all her actions start making sense.😊

Very well written post , personally I like Antara, I think some where deep down she's already falling for Raghu n that's why some times she just lashes out , because she's in denial, she feels nothing can be more weird for her to fall for Raghu,n she's trying to convince herself that it's never gonna happen...
But pyar mein , never say never ! 😉

wow ...you have justified Antara's manner perfectly...I agree with you totally..you cant expect a well disciplined and mannered girl from totally opposite background to come and adjest herself accordingly in a day or two ,it will take time for her ,its call culture shock...she will change but slowly and she will change things around her aswell but slowly... x

awesome post! agree with all ur points. she is a girl who goes by rules and regulations and raghu is a person who breaks all the rules that she believes in following. he brings chaos to her well ordered life and that troubles her and hence the constant lashing out.

I think Antara is sometimes right in the way she acts, and it's not the fact she gets angry at Raghu and constantly fights with him that annoys me, it's her reasoning behind it, or lack of reasoning to be exact.

At many points it seemed like it wasn't Raghu's actions she was against, it was her ego and personal fight against him that she was concerned with, and rather than thinking about the good he is doing, all she wants is to win.

For example when her brother went missing, all she cared about was not wanting Raghu to look for him, but why? If my brother was lost I would take help from anyone, especially when realistically speaking there is no way she could've found her brother in a new city without help. But all she cared about was her fight against him rather than the safety of her brother, same thing happened when they hid in the garage, she put her ego and personal fight against Raghu ahead of her brothers and her safety by going out when he told her it's not safe to. She could've got them all killed just because she didn't want to listen to him!🥱

That's what annoys me, she cares about people, but her actions don't always show it.
