and actually its natural to think that slap was justified bcoz sumitra is a vamp toh cant say kaun right hai or kaun sahi

He was provoked and he is human and he is in great tension.

Man or woman does not make a difference. Just because it is a woman, does not entitle her to kidgloves treatment.

I am sure raghu would have accepted slap from her without complaining .

No..Raising hands against women is totally wrong & coward act in general..So even if YM is nt playing Sumi..I can never ever support such act and enjoy it..

this scene is for drama sake.
So one need not take it that seriously and worry about it.

Its ok for a woman to plot and cause harm to others but it is not ok for a man to slap. I agree.

Newton's law..lolzzz I'm sure he didnt write it in the context to hit a women as a reaction..

And no much idea abt his role..

I guess people who watched this show from beginning or know the characters well will understand better why Raghu slapped ... it was a reaction because he was provoked badly especially when his own mental frame of mind was not right either with the sudden news of Shivani's illness ... so the whole provocation coming from Sumitra that moment was just a wrong timing from her side and so the reaction came from Raghu ...

In initial episodes when Shivani spoke ill about Raghu's mother Latha ,, he went onto almost slap her too but Latha stopped him on time ... So he has this extreme anger right from beginning when someone says wrong about his loved ones ... that time no Shivani fans objected either and thought his reaction was justified ...

Same is the case here ... those who know the character of Raghu will understand why he did what he did ...

And its not about man or woman ... why is it that when a man slaps a man or woman slaps a woman , its all fine ... but when man slaps a woman , we start shouting oh physical violence instead of trying to judge the whole situation ... its not about genders but the situation here and I feel debate should b on the situation rather than gender ...

Coming to Raghu using Sumitra , isn't she giving him the licence to b used too ... Why cant she be like Karan and just walk off with dignity instead of getting used ... Raghu has not put a gun on her forehead ..right ? she always has a choice to walk off or tell everyone that this is a fake marriage ... Especially after this slap she should expose Raghu's fake marriage act ..isn't it ... thats what any dignified woman will do .. Why take the whole abuse in first place ... and if she is still resisting the whole thing from Raghu knowing well that she is just being used , then its equally her fault and wish to go through all this ...

Let us accept raghu was wrong. What does it prove? It proves Raghu can also lose temper and hit a person. I dont buy gender argument. He is not perfect. No one is perfect.

I always thought why raghu is so meek and accommodating?

A little imperfection is ok.
