Well, unless he's got some really well paid, loyal businessmen (like his servant Raggu) then I can't see him keeping the wealth that they have for this long. I think though that Abhi has just managed to pull the wool over his eyes and reached his ears with his made up story first so that when Shivani showed up he unfortunately already believed Abhi and did not want to even consider listening to Shivani. I think this is a total contradiction too for what was shown in the beginning of this show and how he wants to never see any tears in his granddaughters eyes etc.
As for the property being signed in Abhi's name...was it in fact Abhi's name or just to the future "husband" (as yet unnamed) of Shivani????
If it is an unnamed future husband then it would be beneficial to Jaswant as well to have Raggu marry Shivani as I'm sure he and his wife probably feel they can control him and thru him all the property or somehow con him into giving them everything...
