I Love you Papa - A SOS

Finally that day arrived, parents were eager to see their kids perform on the stage. Some were busy rehearsing the lines while others getting ready with final touches of make up. Ved was ready with his apron tied and a chef cap. He was rehearsing his lines ' Iam Ved Suraj Rathi, Hanuman gali's halwai, I was honoured with the title world's top cook", vansh who was listening to this while adjusting his IPS cap was giggling, Ved couldnt control when he found his arch rival teasing him, He was about to give a punch on his face, when the teacher came and asked if all the children were ready. A teacher on the stage announced the arrival of the chief guest SP Sandhya Rathi . the kids could hear the clapping sound, Suraj was feeling proud and the whole RP clapping for their fav ..Vansh was confident while ved was still thinking of vansh making fun of him and regretted for choosing chef get up,

The children were lined up by the teacher. Ved was standing behind vansh, he poked vansh with the laddle and felt relieved to have taken revenge, vansh couldnt react as the teacher asked them to keep quiet. other classmates were making fun of ved, and his attire, ved was loosing his confidence After a few kids showed their talent, it was time for ved to perform. Suraj was eagerly waiting for ved's turn.

He walked towards the mike , holding the laddle he was about to say his lines , when he got flashback of his classmates teasing him . he started stammering , he couldnt remember what he had memorised, he was feeling embarrassed, and started crying, the teacher thought that he has stage fear and took him aside. Sandhya , was shocked to see her ved unable to deliver she overheard a teacher saying that his father was a confectioner and how could he say that proudly.on stage . Suraj was devastated, he couldnt believe his brave son unable to say a few lines in front of the crowd . Next was vansh's turn ,he came to the stage with confidence and delievered the IPS oath , sandhya was impressed , she could recall those nostalgic moments when she said the same to her dad. Tears rolled down her cheeks, but it irked when he said vansh ankur kothari IPS. suraj felt happy to see vansh taking up IPS , and felt he was like his sandhyaji, AA were on cloud nine so was aunty.

It was time to give away the prizes. Sandhya was requested by the pricipal to speak a few words before giving the awards to the winners. Sandhya says she was happy to be a part of this function, and thanked everyone.. She says she could see various professions chosen by the kids to perform in this fancy dress competition but one kid really impressed her. Ved was saying to himself that he knows that she would take the name of vansh as he chose her IPS profession , to his surprise she said she never thought someone would choose a confectioner get up . Ved was shocked. She feels proud whenever she sees someone with apron , the chef cap and the laddle , If she is an IPS today , its only because of a chef, she goes on to say, when she lost confidence and felt low it was the chef who motivated her and stood by her to become the best cadet and a top police officer, Without the chef she is nothing today. The audience were surprised and were waiting for her to reveal who was the chef. suraj was looking left and right .

Sandhya says it was none other than her husband Suraj Rathi, the famous World's Top Cook winner, and without him it wouldnt have been possible for her to be present on the stage as a chief guest. Sandhya says she feels proud to call herself , wife of a halwai. Ved's eyes went wet , Suraj was having a mixed feeling. principal asked sandhya to give the prizes, First prize was announced and it was vansh ankur kothari. sandhya handed over the trophy to vansh and kissed him. AA were fuming, A classmate of ved asked him why did he chose this attire, Ved says because its his father's profession and he is proud of his father Suraj Rathi. Suraj unable to control his emotions rushes towards ved to console him . Ved comes and hugs his papa and says I feel proud to be called Suraj Rathi , the halwai's son " I love you papa" and hugs him. Sandhya sees that from the stage, smiles and feels relieved .

😊 and very nicely changed Veds sorry everyone's POV towards an halwai. But thala sometime the way you represent your profession (name it) itself earns you the respect or look down upon. for eg. If you call yourself a Chef, everyone will applaud for you while if you call yourself a cook, the same crowd will look down upon you. What you do doesn't matter in most cases but how you identify yourself matters. In both cases, the person will cook / bake only but give respect to a 5 star hotel Chef even if he had made the same momo's and served them with ketchup and praise his culinary skills while we don't give a damn to a darshini (restaurant) cook who calls them bajji and serve them hot with spicy chatni at a lower price.

So as long as Suraj stick to make only the confectionery in a small kitchen, outside world doesn't recognize his ability and he needs expand.
