Okie, I might probably be the only one here (or atleast in minority) when I say, I am with Team Meena here. Yes, I would be among those people who would go ahead and stand in that line next to SoorYa, Mohit and LP.
No, it is not because, Meena's tears have moved me.It's neither because, I am among those people who think Marriage is like a ultimate bonding and should not be broken even if it breaks you everyday. But, there are certain things here, that have made me hate Vikram's actions to the core. For me Vikram's behaviors depicts strong MALE CHAUVINISM and I just cannot tolerate that. So, here I am, supporting Meena, just because, I hate the way Vikram is handling all this.
Let us start from the very beginning. Like every other thing, bad habits when encouraged, persistently grow and when curbed at the root, stop propogating. Lets face it, Vikram might have changed in the lately, but it's still Vikram, we are talking about here and not SOORAJ. Who was the one who used to be Meena's partner in crime?? Who was the one who used to create big drama's about throwing his wife outta the house in front of Bhabo and then inside the room, treat her like a princess? Who lied to the family and went on a honeymoon just because, his wife wanted to?
One day, Vikram and Meena together had burnt down their store-room with clothes to save themselves from paying the monthly house expense to Bhabo. Today, Meena again was just about to do the same thing to save her marriage. Atleast, she went on time to stop the fire. That day, Meena took all the blame and Vikram was carefully hidden from all the blames and punishments.
Everytime, they were caught, it was Meena who took the blame for both of their deeds. Atleast, one thing has been constant with Meena, she has loved her husband throughout. While, Vikram has been manipulative and carefully remained as a good person in front of the whole family, fake-slapping, fake-scolding his wife. Agreed, he has changed. But, he was not born good, he did his share of kaands.
And what is he doing now? His anger is completely justified. But the way, he is treating Meena, it's insulting. Even the way Babasa is treating Meena, it's highly insulting. If you have a problem with your wife, take legal action and get a divorce. Don't treat her like a slave who used to be very loyal to you previously but now has displeased you for something. Also, what's with the whole, "OTHER WOMAN" thing? What does Vikram think of himself? That is some Mogul emperor who can go ahead and declare, one to be his wife and the other woman in his life to be the "other woman"? and that too without even bothering to ask that Prema female? What does he think? Just because, he has saved a woman from her evil husband, it means that he owns her or something? Doesn't he have the decency to ask the woman first? and even, if she agrees, calling her the "other woman" is derogatory to both the woman. It quite literally means, he won't let go of Meena legally but will also enjoy the comfort of Prema? What makes him think that he is the ultimate decision maker in all this?
Meena might be a wicked witch, but Vikram, today again reminded me that he was not always a saint. When he felt it right, he used Meena, teamed up with Meena and did all kinds of kaands, now when he feels it's wrong, Meena should just get out of his life. I am sorry Vikram sa, I am not with you! In choosing between two bad options, I will still go with Meena.
