Niruba: Star plus usually includes actors from different shows in various skits and performances.

Seeing the promo, I have a doubt whether the actual event has already occurred but an article had mentioned it is going to happen in mid June but now seeing the promo, I am confused.

I really don't like how starplus treats its stars. Why do they have to always appear as their characters? Why can't they come as themselves and be recognized as the best actors in their respective categories like they should be. The awards are like mega promo events for their shows - not any celebration of the actors and technicians that make their shows successful. They don't seem to have any technical awards either. I frankly find their categories nauseating. Despite all their big claims of social messages, the bottom line is money, money and more money. I guess the actors take comfort in how much they are paid for this event versus how it makes them feel.

^ well said deebzji...i used to have the same complaints too, many times I scolded SP for confusing reel and real...but later one I got fed-up as the actors also plays a part in it...or maybe they are bound by the contract...I dont know...

the sad thing is technicians contributions went unnoticed and talented people like neeluji couldnt get the award last time because she is not fully a positive character though she is the best actress I've seen on TV for now.

I dont think this will change, coz other rival channels has started copying the same pattern too.

Last year event was not upto the mark. Too much RP drama, then too much focus on nari shakthi etc.
