@ Neel If I think from serials point of view then this lack of consummation doesnt seem unreal at all ..The kind of background Suraj and Sandhya are brought up in , I dont expect them to be bold either .. Sandhya was forced into marriage at a young age , she was never the romantic type but her only mission was to fulfill her dream. Sandhya doesnt have the tedency to give alot in a relationship , she just takes alot from her partner and only then reciprocate ..I can relate to her , cause Im also not at all giving wen its comes to a relationship ..
Surya's relationship has grown alot but now isnt the time for being romantic wen Suraj has been very clear that they will take it to the next level only after she becomes an IPS .. Not only diya aur baati every show gives more importance to unconditional love, care and support and male leads are not in a rush to sleep with their wives. Its not right to compare a show with real life , Nowadays people are so open to pre marital sex and live in relationships , Lustful relationships exist even when there is no love between the couple .. worst situation is men hiring female escorts for their needs ..Its easy to make a physical relationship but other aspects like love , care , support , companionship can't be gained easily and sometimes you can't get that even when u have been living with ur partner since ages.
Im in love with this show because they have portrayed Surya's relationship beautifully.. consummation too will happen when it has to happen . Its kept for twist maybe .
