Prem Chopra and Raj Jutshi were the first to come for the award function, followed by many television and Bollywood stars. The highlight of award night was a performance by a blind orchestra, known as The Udaan Orchestra. Dheeraj Kumar received the award for best contribution in films and serials. Prem Chopra got best versatile actor award, and Raj Jutshi got best actor in negative role for the serial Madhubala. Other winners include Pragati Mehra andTina Dutta for Uttaran, Deepika Singh for Diya aur bati.
Aman Trikha and Shabab Sabri received prestigious awards for their music. A ton of comedy actors were also awarded for their talents including, RJ Alok, Iqbal Khan, Sachin Parab, Saajan Agarwal, Namrata Bageria, Rehman Khan and Sargun Mehta. One of the leading stars of Kai Po Che, Rajkumar Yadav also received an award for his work in Kai Po Che. The beautiful Geeta Basra was also on honored for her work in the movie Zila Ghaziabad and the timeless beauty, Monica Bedi was honored for her debut as a television actress onSaraswatiChandra. Others who came to attend the award included Bharat Bhai Shah, Raj K Purohit, and Sushil Solanki.
