We all know Bhabasa is highly agitated and upset because of what is going on with Suraj and Sandhya. He has tried talking to Suraj, but Suraj is adamant that Sandhya needs to leave to be happy and that the only way that can happen is if he humiliates her to make her hate him, and throws her out of the house (rather than talking to her!). And he has made Bhabasa promise not to tell Sandhya what he is up to! So Bhabasa tried talking to Sandhya without revealing any of this, but the girl still hasn't been able to figure out what is troubling Suraj despite trying to get him to talk. (I so wish something would remind her of her friend Preeti and she would then remember those bloody divorce papers! Maybe Chavi's engagement will remind her of when she attended Preeti's engagement... I can hope!)
Poor Bhabasa, it must be horrible to know exactly what is going on and not be able to directly do anything about it! So he can't tell Sandhya that Suraj loves her but wants her to leave because he thinks that is the only way she can ever be happy, and that he is being rude to her to make her hate him and leave. And he has tried asking Sandhya about happiness in the Rathi household, but she answered about others (Chavi, Mohit etc) and not herself. At least Bhabasa got her to the point of realising that Suraj isn't happy, but I wish Bhabasa would/could have directly asked Sandhya if she is happy with her life. I wish he would/could have asked her specific questions about this to try to get her to open up a bit more, and preferably somewhere where Suraj can/could hear exactly what she says!
It certainly looks like nothing like this is about to happen, with Bhabasa's imminent trip to Varanasi and Sandhya to be thrown out of the house.
I can sympathise with Bhabasa - the man is so upset he already gave up eating his favourite paan, and now he feels he has to get out of that crazy environment! The Rathi household seems so chaotic at times, it could turn anyone insane - look at Suraj, the prime example! His intentions are noble but his reasoning and actions are terrible - kudos to him for staying sane and sensible for as long as he did living in that environment! Extreme emotions can make people act extremely strangely, which is exactly what he is doing now, and what the CVs have taken and run with! (I don't like the way the CVs have handled this track and I'm not condoning anyone's behaviour, but I'm just going to go with the flow of the show as it is.)
Maybe Bhabasa is so sick of the situation and wants it to end, and he knows the only way it will end is if Suraj fully carries out his plan. We know that Suraj is tired of being rude and wants Sandhya to leave as soon as possible, but I don't think Bhabasa knows this and he might think that Suraj might not be able to throw her out if Bhabasa is still around. So maybe he has decided to leave so that Suraj will throw Sandhya out in his absence, and he also won't have to witness it. It could also be that Bhabasa thinks/realises Suraj and Sandhya need to be away from each other for both of them to realise how big a part of each others' lives they are, and to realise each others' importance/not take each other for granted. Remember that it was Bhabasa who explained that the significance of husbands and wives sleeping away from each other on Sinjhara night was so that they would realise each others importance? This is something even Bhabo didn't know!
So like I said, I'm just going with the flow of the show now - I don't like the way the CVs have handled this misunderstanding, but I do want to see if there really is going to be a separation track and how things will get resolved. Supposedly Suraj is going to sign the divorce papers and Sandhya will eventually learn that that was why he was behaving rudely with her, but I guess we will have to wait and see! In the mean time, I would love to know your thoughts on whether Bhabasa might be planning something, and if so what you think it could be.
