I watched 9th April 2012 episode of this show again quite carefully. The episode where Sooraj is thinking how Sandhya is going to leave him and the whole dream scenario. And after watching it, it looks like Sooraj's hatred for Sandhya is real and the reason he changed so much in one night is to protect bhabho from the world.
Now in that dream Sandhya leaves the house inspite of Sooraj and Babasa begging her not to leave Sooraj and the house. But she still leaves stamping on every one's feelings and walking out quite rudely. After Sandhya leaves all the neighbourhood women start talking that Sandhya is leaving such a good family like bhabho's. what does she know the meaning of saath phere? when she feels like she takes it and when she doesn't she leaves it. Daisa says she feels more pity for sooraj. his mother has more pride than his wife. she brought the daughter in law at home just for showoff. mother made the mistake and now son is paying for it with his life. she has set her own son's life on fire. what kind of mother is she? even enemies won't do something like this.
After hearing all this bhabho breaks down. She says to Sooraj that whatever they are saying is true. iam the one who ruined your life, took away your happiness. i won't ask for forgiveness. just give me any punishment that you feel like. she keeps asking for punishment and later when he says no, she says if you won't give me any punishment then i will punish myself. The real Sooraj who is watching all this gets extremely shocked and scared.
Bhabho may be cruel or unfair to anyone but she loves sooraj more than anything. the guilt conscious of ruining her most beloved son's life could drive her to take any decision to punish herself. in normal circumstances punishment can be taken lightly but in extreme circumstances like this things can get fatal. Bhabho has already said that if sooraj's heart gets hurt because of sandhya then it will be the end of her. after seeing how her son has fallen apart she could even kill herself because her guilt conscious would be so much that she wouldn't be able to continue living.
If Sandhya tomorrow leaves the house (according to him) then his vision will come true. All the neighbourhood women will talk bitterly towards bhabho, harass her for the rest of the life. She will be standing lowering her head in shame. She will be devastated further by seeing sooraj's shattered state. In the end unable to tolerate everything she may take some shocking decisions or end her life. So to prevent all these he has changed.
From all his expressions and actions in this one week it looks like he has really started hating sandhya. he thinks she is a hypocrite. she talks something else but in heart she has some other motive. Usually when a person is acting towards someone their real expression comes on their face when the other person is not looking at them. so far i haven't seen any hurt expression in Sooraj's face when sandhya is not looking at him. His expression changes to angry and disgust instead of hurt or any other emotion.

The reason he keeps insulting Sandhya in front of other women is also because he wants these women to blame him, not bhabho if sandhya leaves. he has already insulted her during the gangaur pooja in front of the entire neighbourhood. From the promo, he will insult her again in his shop by asking has she fulfilled her duties as a wife in front of chotu and another women. To an extent It appears like bhabho, he too has lost some of the love and respect for sandhya. Because so far she has always said that she does not want to leave and then he finds divorce papers from her. for him that was an outright betrayal by sandhya. According to him she is going to go anyway trampling on everyone's feelings so he might as well save bhabho from disgrace.
This show's scriptwriters like to stretch things a lot. Bhabho's harassment and bullying towards Sandhya started in January. it's been four months and it's still going every single day. Sooraj's harassment has only started. who knows how many more months it will take for divorce papers truth to come out. Bhabho's jail trip truth still isn't out when it's been four months. she went to jail in december i think. Cv's have just started this track so i think it will go on for a longer period of time. The way things are going it doesn't look like it will end soon.
