There are a couple of things good about this new design but the main thing, the vibe is missing. Homely vibe that the old IF used to give. There is nothing much that we can do. There will be bug fixes and eventually we will get used to this. Honestly I was waiting for an upgrade and I am glad they did. Old IF did look outdated. I agree we all were so used to that but we will get used to this as well. Its like how we feel when we move houses. Change is the only constant. I think it's just about individual preferences. Like you prefer an updated version, I would still choose the old one if given a choice. Maybe it's because you have used it for 13 long years and for me, it has been merely 3 years. True, change is the only constant but we do have a right to like or dislike it, don't we? I am just being really honest with my opinions. If I don't like something, then I don't. The ease of navigating and vibe is truly missing. Usually in between everything, I could pop on to IF make a comment and rush back to my offscreen work. Since yesterday I don't even want to log on let alone check for updates. Also many active members Shalu, Kaku, Deepika, Indu, jess and few more are missing.There's not much to discuss other than rant. That's exactly. Since I am free for a while these days, I can be here but I dread imagining being on IF with the workload. I got a comment from Kaku and one from Shalu today on the TS so that says they are around but I guess this new design is keeping them away. This is tricky and annoying.
