'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus is speaking up for Vanessa Hudgens after nude photos of the 'High School Musical' star were splashed across the Internet.

'It's everywhere(the photos),but the thing is..mistakes happen and I'm just happy I can be there for her as a friend,which is what she needs more than anything,' Cyrus told E! News at the Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday. E! will provide the comment in newscasts at 7 and 11 pm.

Billy Ray Cyrus also offered his support for Hudgens. 'People are going to make mistakes and when you make one you just gotta re-adjust and re-group and go back to life,' he advised. 'That's what life is all about.'
