Zac Efron celebrates his 21st birthday with family and friends
Zac Effron celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday with a low-key dinner party with friends and family.
The High School Musical star had a two hour dinner party at Italian restaurant Pace in Los Angeles with guests including his parents & brother, his co-stars and friends Monique Coleman & Ashley Tisdale, and other friends including Michelle Trachtenberg, Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow and Aly & AJ Michalka.
Zac's co-star and girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens is said to have helped planned the party and was spotted leaving the restaurant with the birthday boy around midnight.
The couple were spotted heading to a nearby hotel, where they held a small after-party for their close friends.
Zac recently told David Letterman that he planned to enjoy his first legal drink on his birthday but not have a big party because he's too busy with promoting High School Musical 3: Senior Year at the moment, ahead of its release this week.
Co-star KayCee Stroh added that while everyone around him would like to help him celebrate big-style: "He's that guy that would rather sit down with friends and have a good discussion than deal with the craziness."
