Rajan Shahi, producer for the show, has recently spent approximately Rs 20 lakh on the Holi special, following in the footsteps of 'Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi'. The producer says that this is something they needed to do to prove themselves while adding, "But we're still more focused on the content than anything else." Shahi's daughter Ishika will also make a brief appearance in the daily soap. Apparently, when she got to know about the elaborate marriage sequence she begged to be a part of it. "So we got her on board for a couple of episodes," says Shahi. The sister concern channel of Star Plus - Star One, is not far behind as it brings Holi Specials for the shows 'Dill Mill Gayye', 'Annu Ki Ho Gayee Waah Bhai Waah', 'Choona Hai Aasman', 'Pari Hoon Main', 'Bol Baby Bol' and 'Funjabbi Chakk De'. From Riddhima accidentally consuming some bhang and going ballistic to Annu and Aashu playing Holi separately and a grand Holi party at Rajveer's place, catch all the excitement and more in the Holi special episodes. The newly launched Hindi GEC NDTV Imagine celebrates the colors and traditions of India this week with 'Idea Dhoom Macha De'. Watch a special episode wherein favorite singing superstars Richa, Baba, Jassi, Babul, Jaspinder, Kamaal and Devang will showcase melodious performances on folk songs, titled 'Colours of India' this Friday at 8:30 pm. The struggling GEC Sony Entertainment Television (SET) will reflect the festive mood with 'K for Kishore' this week. All the contestants along with the hosts Babul Supriyo and Rajeshwari gives the episode a high-energy start complete with song, dance and Holi colors. Guest singers Bapi and Tutul, are set the tone for the rest of the evening along with some popular Holi numbers. In celebrating the festival of colours, news channel IBN7 is not fading out, as it has lined up an array of special programming that is sure to make Holi all the more vibrant. From hilarious comedy shows, a Holi-theme film song special to a 'Zindagi Live' special with Sunidhi Chauhan, IBN7's exciting Holi festivities will extend over two days beginning on March 21 and continuing throughout the day on March 22. |
