Aarti, Mia: It was a pleasure reading your posts on the shakespearean verse and the way the discussion steered. I havent read poetry myself and so this was very intriguing to see how the discussion steered and absolutely enjoyed your interaction!!!

"We are all here slaves to ourselves, uniquely do we see, feel, percieve and gear up to deliver the act that we just acted upon..."

I really liked your take there...food for thought really...

Thanks so much for adding such depth of thought to the otherwise random post of mine!

Wow...so well written!!!...i'm here for a short while...no gr8 mood😕 but urs is so well written. that..the following has been inspired partly by ur post..

Jaded and morose, insipid to the core; I walk my winding trails
It's a promise to my soul that I won't turn around no more -
Turn around to see the colors, and the musings I've been stripped off!

Spirit, I hope you are feeling better now and if my post could inspire you even remotely to pen up this brilliant piece, what more could one ask for!

Thank you soooo much for sharing this with us! It was a nice read! And the above lines were what jumped out of the post and caught my attention... the pathos in those lines is so deep and so strong...one cant but help but feel it tug hard at their hearts...

Mood, the winding path we call life, the promise , a battered soul, the colors of life and the silent musings... all blended in to bring out the pathos of disappointment ! Beautiful!

Grandly put. But will the disguise fade and will the cursed one really break free...and will it be too late by then? what use is it if he breaks free and the pretences drop and the misguided see the light of enlightenment after the curtain has dropped...

an empty stage as you rightly put...what more lonely place in the world than an empty stage when the last act is done and the auditorium has been steeped in darkness and all voices are quiet except the breath of a solitary repenter...

But great words, aptly put....bravo, girl!!!
Luv, Sona

Sona, loved the way you phrased it all! Yeah Gina did put it brilliantly that once the act ends and the lady gets on stage to perform her act, all she'd see is a empty galleries and echoing silence... and so aptly put across by you, all the empty galleries will echo is the breath of a solitary repenter...!

THank you sooooo much.. am so glad you enjoyed the post!

@aarti,yeats is one of my fav writters. The poignancy in his writing is complete. The tones of Irish mysticism, folklore and the subsequent realism in his older age that overshadows his writings is endearing.
These lines,
'Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.'
-The Stolen Child.
there absolute simplicity of these words is haunting...nd i think i hav severly digressed frm the topic....so sorry sareeta.
Neways m lookin forward to your comments aarti.

@Mia - Oh please dont say sorry, I am absolutely enjoying the new poetry angle, least expected ,that a random post of mine on the act, could trigger such a fantastic discussion about poetry and style of writing , which is a revelation to me and I am really enjoying it!

The lines you've quoted are so beautiful and so profound and I agree , its the simplicity associated that really reaches out and the depth in the lines , conveyed so simply... Loved it....

I know, with Aarti having introduced me to poetry... I am sure on my way to reading more and hopefully appreciating it better as well!

Ifrah- THank you soooooo much!!!! Am so glad you liked it and thank you for the compliment abt the titles... I guess... I jus end up with them once the idea strikes my lil brain!
