Footsteps….Fading Away In The Autumn Dusk
Over the rustle of the fallen autumn leaves
The footsteps slowly fading away in the distance….
She knows it's the final farewell…
Her face is still angelic, but there is no magic in her smile
All he sees is a stranger, and shards of some lost tender moments…
She pines for his touch, but the moment is lost
For love, deeper than the abyss of the night sky, is, but a human emotion
It hurts, it cries and it finally runs dry, after the last tears are shed
So goodbye my dear….'cause I no longer care….
We do not know if Armaan & Riddhima's love story will run a similar course (probably not cause this is a hindi serial!!), but the two remind me of Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler of 'Gone with the Wind'…and how that love story ended….
Just wanted to draw a parallel between the two…
Scarlett – epitome of beauty & brains, pampered, headstrong, childish, scheming, selfish, gutsy and a true survivor…
Rhett – handsome, witty, sharp, a cad (in his own words), womanizer (till he meets Scarlett), opportunist, passionate, sincere and unpretentious…
The two are soul mates and yet the story has an unhappy ending.. or are they
Rhett, sees Scarlett for who she really is – a selfish, scheming lil brat too much in love with herself. Once he observes, my dear, you are no lady and no other man can understand and love you better than me! Definitely not Ashley , of the weak will! He tries hard to wipe off Ashley from her mind, once even succeeding in the moments of passion, but her ego & ignorance come in between, again!!
Scarlett spends a lifetime thinking she loves Ashley, who is unavailable, only to be awakened to the shocking truth that Ahsley only lusted for her (and actually only loved one woman – the one he was married to!); and she was in love with the illusion she had created around Ashley – of them being soul mates. And then her eyes open to the fact that its good old Rhett, who's stood by her through thick & thin who she really loves!
By then its too late…Riddhima seems to be determined to walk that line as well…
'Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned' – she proved the saying so right today… She cannot see the pain she is causing this man…she cannot see beyond the ridicule she is being subjected to because of the bet…she is misconstruing everything he ever did for her…
And today her mistrust did break Armaan's heart…When I started this post I was wondering how does love die….today the look on Armaan's face gave me the answer – it doesn't die – one person just crosses all limits and tears the other's heart apart!! One cud see the cruel blows she was dealing to that tender feeling he had nurtured for her for so long….And all that was left was bitterness and emptiness!
