Sumit is going to be totally broken and I have a feeling he is not one to let go easily. He has noticed Armaan showing interest in Ridzy too. Why is madam leading him up the garden path, eventually breaking his heart. She was basking so much in his attention yesterday, feet hardly touching floor, too pleased with the attention. What about doctor-patient relationship, professionalism?? Or has she not even heard of it.

The earlier Sumit realizes the better off he is. He is like a sinking man hanging on to any available support and she couldnt be more cruel to him leading him on.

All the verses penned by you and put down in the post are so beautiful and say it all. Kudos to you for writing so well and will never get tired of saying it. Such a pleasure to read and so much information and stimulation for the grey cells which were vegetating otherwise.

Aarti: I jus loved lines you quoted in your post and loved them... got me really thinking ....

Ridhima is riding high on her moral superiority throne... and basking in the praise in the hollow praises showered on her... hollow I say , for the praises are showered on someone they truly believe is morally right not one who believes she is...and boy when the shadows fade in harsh light of the bitter truth of her actions... praises would indeed seem like a hollow cacophony...!

Sumit on the other hand is a critically ill patient and is possibly holding onto the one thread of grass ... Ridhima's attention rather his growing attraction for , which brings him some soothing moments , in his depressive journey towards his end...and harsh as I may sound... I'd rahter wish teh man jus saw his end never realizing what she truly is doing to him... taking with him his own peaceful moments ... and memories that will lay buried in his coffin... rather than see the bitter truth...

And as for Ridhima realizing... well... Sumit being alive or not doesnt matter... the realization of what she did will be enuf to kill her inside... if and when epiphany strikes!

@ gina...thanks so much...sumit's fate...well, i agree he isn't about to let go that easy...that worries me a bit! if ridhima deems it propah to enjoy such close fraternisation with her patients, then damn the code....who are we or armaan to say anything contrary...

@ sareeta, my point exactly when i said when he uncovers the truth, it will kill him before his cancer does...and god hope he succumbs to his disease before he has to have the one bright ray in his sad life snatched away so cruelly from him. for no fault of his....

Aarti...to be honest, I hve never really liked the character Sumit šŸ˜• ...found him irritating & somehow I cannot identify with whiny, clingy people like him...but after reading ur post I actually for the first time tried to look at the situtaion frm his point of view…

Do you remember the library scene, when he refers to Riddhima as 'tum' and puts his hand on her shoulder…way back then itself, I could not understand why she did not clarify her feelings to him and put a stop to this affair. She keeps chatting with him in such an amiable manner while Armaan seethes outside! Well, if there were any doubts abt her leading Sumit on, yesterday it became all too obvious. She actually seemed to be reveling in the attention he was showering on her and I was sickened to see her so pleased with herself! Oh can this woman ever look beyond herself. She thinks its ok to let him think the world of her cause it satisfies her ego.

When an attractive, young doctor encourages a terminal patient like this, there is bound to be trouble ahead. He is going to cling to her for dear life because she has given him hope of this non-existent rainbow ahead…I feel its not just going to lead to heartbreak… There is an obsessive streak in Sumit . He is not going to let go so easily, and the muck that is going to fly around when things go out of hand is going to land on the 'fallen angel Riddhima'. Ofcourse like u and others have pointed out …Ms goody two shoes always has an escape route planned (I am sooo innocent!)…nut she will not come out unscathed…and the witness (& probably the savior too) will be none other than Armaan!

I liked the lines u penned abt Sumit finding the two together (though I don't want to see Riddhima even within a 10 mile radius of Armaan for quite some time!!)…Cud almost visualize the scene and the ensuing heart break…do feel that Sumit has an inkling that there is something brewing b/w the two. He probably feels its not frm Riddhima's side cause she cares sooo much for HIM…

Something funny came to my mind just now thinking of Sumit….Is dil ke tukde hazaar hua, Koi yaahan gira koi waahan gira….(Sorry, I still sound so unsympathetic twrds him, can't help it)

Shakira : *burts a balloon... whispers.. Oops... Sumit ke dil ke tukde...burts out laughing ...!!! *

Am with ya , I never felt any empathy for the character... I hate whiny clingy ppl too... they remind me of mosquitos and the stupid hum of them in the dead of the night... sorry... harsh comparision but cannt help it.. they do remind me of them!

But well... if yes as Aarti showed in her post... if he were to be taken in serious light... then yes... I wish he saw his end before realizing what a super witch Ridzy can be... taking his feeling for granted and fanning her pride with his praise!!!
