Bcos we thought the CVS would preserve her character .... as she was a main lead they will sho some logical flow.
I guess thats were we failed.... expected some proper storyline and logic from creatives.
Today I tell you, she is THE insult to womanhood. There is no excuse for her behaviour and she does not deserve anyone's love!

Agreed with Anu Riddhima is an Insult to Womanhood...She put womanhood to shame....She was an Disappointment....

I enjoyed reading your post. Riddhima was one of my favorite characters on television, a person who tried to do the right thing but not at the expense of her own personal dignity.

I feel somewhere the writers spent too much time paying attention to the out cry of the younger viewers. At the same time Riddhima's character evolved into a mature character and you saw a mature relationship, this drew an older fanbase. This need to satisfy both fanbases split the character.
My major disappointment is that in the process the intelligent , strong willed, female protagnist became a foil character. A woman is now depicted as an object and she does not know what she wants or what is right or wrong. No voice just an object. The writers, instead of writing a story, became crowd pleasers and the story, the idea of right and wrong, and the light hearted feel of the show bled away.

Well-written ! I was pondering upon the same topic today and your post just caught my eye. Anyways, this show has been more in the limelight for it's consistent changing storyline and for it's off-screen controversies. Does any other show on star one,let alone in the tv industry, have so many controversies attached to it?
Often,we are found to be discussing issues about the show rather than what's happening in it. Isn't it a bit unusual?
Also, i have always seen that shows/seriels have a stable storyline which they don't change on simple requests. Mihir's example suits the bill perfectly. They didn't change him but gave the audience such a strong story which was difficult to ignore and slowly,Mihir settled in our hearts in the name of Ronit Roy.
I will say that shows with a weak protagonist is bound to go down. She is the one who is roped in to give the message about how to face problems and solve issues in life but if the lead is shown as a weak one then what message can she convey?
DMG has disappointed in many many ways. Changing the storyline constantly has ruined it's flavour and it's characters. Now they don't seem real. One minute,Riddhima is happy to live with her husband and in another, she realizes she can't live without her ex. It just doesn't seem real nor does it make sense.
Overall,DMG has lost the appeal it used to boast of.
