@ramsha: Reality? and DMG.. comparing...........! hmmmmmm i dont think such a good idea......
if you really want to do tht thn there was no need for sid to be so big.... larger thn life character..and armaan to be so lovable and ridhhimma to be so confused about her own feelings..
mock the relationship of marriage... infront of everybody
and not to mention the other dumb characters who have no reason whatsoever to keep their mouth shut about SR marriage.. and let armaan make a fool out of himself

P.S i shall come back later to defend if anybody replies to this post!

and about commitment....well you've spoken about the commimtment in a marriage and i want to point out the commimtment in a relationship.
as i have said before a relationship of two years and that two one as emotionally binding as AR's os no less than a marriage and demands equal commitment if not more......armaan and riddhima had graduated from being lovers to soulmates.....theirs was not a fling and feelings for your soulmate don't just vanish or fade into the background in six months....even if she gave sid another chance she knows sid will never be her soulmate not because he can't but because that place in her heart is armaan's and he cannot be replaced.
i ope you got what i'm trying to say which is just as a marriage demands commitment so does a relationship with ur soulmate.......
peace out

Yattri DMG is truly making a mockery out of marriage indeed... none of the interns understand the importance of it even though they maybe planning on doing it themself... who knows if they will stay committed?

Hey Sumedha, thanks for replying! Wow, I am so glad everyone is discussing the topic so calmly. šŸ˜†

That is the beautiful thing about the human heart....love is not a limited commodity. Sid would not need and I agree cannot replace Armaan...because Sid is capable of making his own space in Riddhima's heart.

And as for soulmates, that is another belief ingrained by the media, movies, romantic fairytales. If that was true, then someone whose fiancee died would never be able to find someone else in life again...but love has the ability to heal all wounds.

What separates marriage from bf-gf relationship is the level of commitment. A gf-bf relationship is in the stages where you are still deciding whether or not to take it to the next level. Marriage is the ultimate commitment which states that you have decided to remain with that person for the rest of your life.

In earlier times, at least in India, my grandparents' or my parents' or say greatgrandparents' age, there was only Arranged Marriage.. And those started with no love, it was a mere compromise/commitment.. So didn't they love each other? Didn't they spend whole life happily?

In fact in Arranged marriage, where the person gradually learns to love the man, there is more patience and understanding.. And a sudden raise or impulse of emotion doesn't affect the relationship much! In love, one does what one's heart says.. But in marriage, one needs to think and then take any step.. The earlier one is good upto a certain age, but the second thing is more sensible stuff to do and it leads a couple to eternity.. Which is why Love is not called 'Saat Janmo ka Bandhan'.. it's Marriage..

Getting married to a person whom u even donno properly, doesn't mean she wont get to know him ever!! The fondness that both of them were growing in their heart, is simply beautiful and above everything..

Love makes restless in emotions.. Marriage helps to control and calm it down to avoid accidents :)

I don't understand, why u guys think Armaan was made a fool😭 It's true that nobody was thinking abt his emotions.. But nobody laughed at or enjoyed his situations either.. I may come up as SR fan, but not once I said Armaan is cheap/wrong etc etc..šŸ˜• He is not !! And it was Sid who made a mockery of marriage, thanks to Ridz who saved it :)

Armaan was never a fool.. and nobody can make him a fool.. It's the irony of fate.. n Nothing elsešŸ’”

@topic maker- this is one most most mature and sensible post I have seen here šŸ‘
Being a married woman myself I can vouch to what u have written. but alas! since the members here are mostly teens or young maidens , they may not be able to completely digest what u have said. I guess we have to give them time šŸ˜‰ Till then let them float in the fluffy clouds of fairy love tales...coz its very hard to convince them..
