This is 2018, when the concept of a mistress is not only taboo but illegal, this production house is alien to social message, human rights and Indian constitution. When they can glorify child marriage, I don't expect good things from them apart from the fact that the house of head of this PH should be probed to look for little kids.
Anyway this is my frustration speaking, but if they wanted to show a television show about mistress and a wife, I don't believe that a man or woman can't love two people, they can do it like they can kill people, but it's illegal hence its wrong. If the show was based in 1660, I would have understood a man fighting for rights of his mistress as condition of women was bad back than, this concept in this age and time is so stupid, especially when the number of women in India is less than men, be practical, 2 men for one woman is understandable as people are killing female fetus.
Bajirao - Mastani was based in an India where polygamy was not wrong, Mastani's father was a Muslim and even now Muslims can marry more than one woman, even in Parth was shown as a Muslim man, I would have understood this but he is not a Muslim, he is a Hindu male, who should be in prison for 7 years. Or the head of production house wants to tell his wife that he should marry 1000 of girls and he'll love her equally, they can have a dilchasp rishta too. I for one would make sure the package of the guy who cheats on me will be of no use to any other woman.
Now if the concept is about a mistress, back in London 1800, men who had mistresses never allowed them to be in front of their wives as they thought it's an insult to their wives, even Mastani did not live with Kadhibai as 2nd wife was not accepted. Kashibai didn't let Bajirao touch her after she found out about his betrayal, but such a shameless doormat this Shorvari is that she is telling Parth he couldn't make love to Teni because she is having her periods. Have some self-respect woman, Teni is a mistress, she has all the tricks up her sleeves, I don't mind Teni anymore as she is fighting for what she believe is hers, like last night she didn't think once before telling Shorvari or taunting her but this stupid shorvari has no self respect at all, a complete blot in name of a woman.
