Rana is shown laughing at the fact that Viraaj had been sacrificed in their efforts to save Krish, and soon so will Raghav. Sia, Sundar and Raghav stare at Rana in shock. Viraaj wakes up to find himself trapped in a coffin. He calls Raghav a 'bad man' in anger, and when he notices crumbles of earth on the place where he is trapped he screams out for him. Raghav in the meantime pushes the police to continue the search and they check the area for any evidence of digging. Viraaj feels suffocated and fears death, and above ground, Raghav holds the same fears and insists that the search be intensified. Viraaj cries for help, juxtaposed on screen with efforts by Raghav and Sia to find him. The team is shown checking out the entire forest area. Suddenly RaghavI stumble on a shovel and realise that this is probably where Viraaj has been trapped. They walk further and find a spot that shows evidences of recent digging, and call the team to help. Viraaj in the meanwhile falls unconscious from suffocation. The team relentlessly dig until Raghav's shovel hits upon something solid. They dig deeper and find the coffin, and see Viraaj trapped inside.
Raghav and Sia are now shown taking a still-unconscious Viraaj to hospital. A stressed Raghav sits down and remembers how he had told Viraaj they were playing a game to save Krish, and how he had promised that nothing would happen to him. Sia sits with Raghav and comforts him, and Raghav confesses to her that even though Viraaj's crimes make him deserving of punishment, he feels indebted to him for how his part in the plan had helped save Krish's life.
Krish returns home with Sundar, and Gayathri and Tashu have an emotional reunion with him. Gayathri asks him if he is fine and he nods. Tashu then asks Sundar where Raghav and Sia are, and he tells them they are at the hospital with Viraaj. Both the women seem surprised at this. He then relates to them how they found Viraaj.
Viraaj is being operated on, and at one point flatlines. The doctors decide to administer shock treatment in order to revive him. As they do so, Viraaj begins to see flashbacks of his pre-ML life. Because there seems to be no response Raghav and Sia begin to worry, only to see the line begin to run normally again. The doctors then leave.
Viraaj wakes up a while later, after experiencing the same flashbacks, which end in his memory of stabbing Sia. He opens his eyes, takes the mask off his mouth, and sits up. He is last showing gazing into an empty space.
The next morning, Viraaj wakes up in his ward but sees the police and some of the hospital staff coming, and pretends to be asleep. The police official asks the doctor when Viraaj can be released, since he is a criminal and needs to be taken back to the mental assylum where he stayed, but the doctor insists on keeping him under observation. The policeman agrees to wait for two days. Raghav is about to leave when Viraaj stops him, and asks him whether their plan to get Krish back home worked. Raghav nods. Viraaj seems happy about this, and then tells him he wants to join them home. Raghav tells him he needs to stay for a few days at the hospital. Viraaj pleads with him, but Raghav stays firm. He then leaves, and Viraaj pretends to plead, for effect, and then smirks and says he really doesn't want to stay there.
The policeman informs Raghav that though he has helped the police, and though he was forced to keep Viraaj with him, he will need to spend time in jail. Raghav replies that he had expected this, and had gotten a doctor to arrange for anticipatory bail for at least two days. The policeman states that he doesn't want Raghav to suffer much either and hopes to lessen his sentence as much as he possibly can. Raghav is happy for the two days he has; he states it will make it easier for him to say goodbye to his family...
Viraaj remembers bitterly how Rana had administered so much shock treatment his state was reduced to that of a child. He then sees a ward boy taking something from his hand while talking on the phone, and dumping fresh clothes on Viraaj. He asks him to change, and Viraaj goes to do so. On reentry, he finds the ward boy on the bed still talking and sees the 'no mobiles allowed' sign. He then instructs him to clean the blood on the floor and take away the dirty clothes. The ward boy replies that this is not his job. After a failed repeat of instructions, he sees the implements used for shock treatment. He picks them up and tells the man that his first mistake was that he talked back at all, and gives him a shock. He then tells him that he hates dirt, and administers the second. He administers the third after telling him not to use the phone in the ward. He then kicks the man out of the bed with his foot. They hear a buzzer go off.
