I know.. I know
I still decided to watch the episode today after the "END" of SB as a story with a point. I still don't know how far I'd watch it. Perhaps, the coming Maha Episode should help me decide. I'm clearly against the crapfest this show has to bait its viewers. I'm clearly NOT WILLING to waste even a second of time on a plot that does not serve any valid purpose.
However, a few thoughts on the pre-conceived notion of C-night on television. Everything has turned out to be hormonal and disastrous, though?
But lets see, if showing a consummation on screen is really THAT vital to be shown. Having sex or consummating after marriage is doubtlessly a sacred ritual between a couple as a part of their marriage. So why doesn't television revere it, instead showcase the affair which is generally done within four walls? I know, that the entire happening of a C-night cannot be shown and it isn't. But why really show uncomfortable souls just enact a lip lock or a bed scene?! It sucks to see a couple forcefully act such scenes. Besides, why do even people want to see a kiss or eye lock of their favourite couple on screen? Can a story do even without it?
YES. It can, and I did.
I'm so happy to see some kind of a reality in show where a man is shown to respect a woman, give her the space she deserves, show her some emotional love than physical and slowly get into her orbit. Have we seen any couple on television share their likes and dislikes on their C-night bed? Have we seen a husband tell his wife that the lights of the room will not be switched off until she's comfortable, regardless of the time?
YES. I got to see something nice! And I'm glad.
In a world where TV shows show the lead have sex with his wife even before marriage and do not turn up at the wedding to marry her but to tell her that he hates her. In a world where the lead has sex with his wife when he's intoxicated by 'bhaang', when he doesn't consider his second wife, a wife?
Sorry, I only know these shows and cannot cite as many examples.
We do need shows that can portray a real man who has control over his sexual feelings and thoughts. And most importantly show that love after marriage needn't be just physical. I'm so happy I didn't see romance in today's episode! Thank goodness for the no red dupatta scenes between Raghav and Sia. In fact, it turned out to be a much adorable episode between a couple who's in much love with each other sharing those awfully cute moments!
Raghav and Sia might not share chemistry of fireworks. But they are enough to narrate a decent love story of a couple who can have better ways to share love than to hug, kiss, fall, trip, stare, glare, sleep and everything beyond that.
It was a great episode as far as Singh Parivaar is concerned. Sriti stole the entire show today. She was looking absolutely adorable! Finally, after a huge round of a roller coaster ride she gets what she deserves - a loving husband and a family.
I'm not bothered about the rest.
The post will not be complete without this. Yeah!
