@div
u rem sia's cunning smile wen she was being tortured?
But at times I feel it'll kill that womanly essence in her...
Sia as a soft hearted person is wat makes her real

What I fail to understand is why the article didn't talk about Rakt Sambandh and bring some comparisons from that into the talk as well?

Good question. While she was for some the #2 in Jyoti, that was arguable, given Brij, Pankaj and Kabir. In fact, in Jyoti, when she looked like stealing the scenes w/ some stunning performances, they watered down her role. After Sudha married Uday, she became increasingly marginalized, and finally, when they had the re-marriage of Brij & Sushma, @ that time she left.

I know that people have been awe struck by her performances in Jyoti as Devika, but honestly, her performances in RS were no less. First as a blind Sandhya, then as a Tapori Vrinda. Only damper was the last 2 months of that show, when they needlessly introduced a family for Neeraj, instead of just carrying on w/ Savita, Sakshi, Shradhya & Shreya.

In fact, as we discussed in Sriti's AT, RS would have been a very close & apt comparison to this serial - much more than Jyoti ever was.

It is disappointing dat d writers, still will make SIA not avenge anything nd only find a a sloution??..i mean hw much more does SIA or RAGHAV need 2 suffer which will make her hit rock bottom...
This is pathetic dat probably d writers r not letting SIA hit any rock bottom nd keep a symathetic corner in her 4 her abuser, so dat in future they can show him mahan nd may b 4giving him ..🤢

It is not too late yet. The writers should turn the tables by turning Sia's character into a cruel one, and should do it with the same stylistic flair with which they developed Viraj's character. Now his character should be on the receiving end. Raghav's character, which is with Sia, should be stopped from being rash and should be made to think more and fight less. Like this, they could retain Karanvir Bohra. Both leading male characters are good actors. Moreover, it is doubtful that the change would have any adverse effect on program's rating or popularity. Sia's strong character would probably be meaty enough that she does not mind aging the seven years. (An actress who likes Guru Dutt, and who has also expressed her desire to play Ayesha Takia's role in Dor and wants to work with Vishal Bhardwaj, wouldn't mind taking on new challenges.)

Finally, a strong Sia will be a refreshing direction for the program, and prove to be a role model for women watching in Nepal, Pakistan, India, and elsewhere. The viewers have seen the timid, frightful, and vulnerable Sriti Jha; now I hope the writers give them a chance to see the vicious, bold, and terrible side (against Viraj) of this talented actress while maintaining her character's tender nature.

CV's do think abt it... the change can really affect the story n the real motive of Saubhagyavati bhav ...we have such a gr8 actress..but recent epi's script was not doing justice to her character .

and HC god bless him! touch wood he wont quit untill n unless he completes his job

Exactly Saba they could still change the story line and make her take avenge instead of getting him arrest. I mean in real life I do not think after seeing this much torture not only to her but people who had helped her would not be in their sense and definitely try to fight with him.

Didn't she already know that how capable her psycho, rapist, abuser husband he is and still sympathize with hi and I think this is where cvs are wrong. After going through this much no one will sympathize with. Guy like this.

If Cvs want they can be ... if you ask me on paper and even in story Raghav still is the strongest character despite the less screen space ... his character reflect strength which V can't match ... Friday's episode is proof that he redefines heroism ... so if you ask me V is not a strong char but you can say he is the one who dominates most of the screen space, that is not the same like as strong

After Raghav, its Gayatri for me who is the strongest char

Sia can be and is on way but they are not letting her for some odd reason

Hey Everyone!

So there are a couple of issues that we've seen around the forum that we want to address. Please read through this carefully and if you have any questions, please PM us.

1) Lately, with all the confusion about the leap/no leap, KVB's exit, and everything in the story, there have been quite a few comments in which statements have been made about KVB holding some sort of a stake in the channel, the show, etc. We want to remind you all that such things are not allowed on the forum for a few reasons. 1) They deal with the personal life of an actor, not something we know about in any way. 2) We have no proof. 3) Ultimately, the comments associated with such assumptions and statements generally are attacks on the actor.

And this applies across the board - attacks on any of the actors in the show are not allowed. Constructive criticism is. Bashing is not. And clearly, this wouldn't fall under constructive criticism.

So please refrain from making such comments in the future.

2) Comparisons between actors - Let's not go there. Direct, indirect, implied, whatever. Not allowed between actors in any way. These things will result in consequences because everyone should know better than to make the snide remarks about actors and whatnot.

3) This isn't something new, but it seems to be something that we need to repeat over and over again, and we really hope everyone understands it this time around.

There is absolutely NO commenting on the members. At ALL. It doesn't matter if you meant something as a joke or whatever, if it's commenting on the members, it will result in action being taken. Thus statements such as "Viraj worshippers, sadists, lusty fangirls, etc" are not allowed. That's directly commenting on the members. Indirectly making the snide remarks is ALSO not allowed.

This is becoming a more and more serious issue and seriously, people, keep this in mind when posting because we think we've reminded everyone about this rule enough times by now.

4) And finally, something that's really obvious- sticking to the topic at hand. If a thread is about one actor, character, whatever, don't bring in other factors if they don't actually pertain to the topic the TM posted. This is generally what's leading to fights as we've noticed in the forum. The TM says one thing, someone else brings in something else and soon enough we have a full on fight. Let's just stick to the topic at hand.

Warnings will be sent out for a first offense of any rule here or any rule in the Forum Rules (Obviously), and if you have already gotten a warning PM, then a WL raise will be the next step.

Everyone in the forum knows the rules. No more excuses.

We hope everyone understands and cooperates. Again, any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to PM either Vrish or me.

Best,
DSDDSB DT

Exactly. RS should have been used as the comparison because it related to DSDDSB more. But I didn't mind the comparison to Jyoti.

You know, one thing I've always wondered is whether Sriti walked out of Jyoti in disgust @ the Brij-Sushma re-union track. If she did, why isn't she doing the same now?

For those unfamiliar, in Jyoti, Brij was one of the characters who initially looked like the lead, before he eloped w/ Jyoti's sister Sushma, and in that serial, he was the model of domestic abuse. In fact, he was the Viraj of that serial - using a date rape on Sushma when she was just a minor, impregnating her, getting her an abortion, then marrying her, then she leaving her house, them falling on hard times and him ill treating her, and finally, on Diwali, when it became too much, Sushma took the help of Jyoti & fled.

Fast forward, and Sushma, although pregnant, started cleaning up her act. She resumed school, even though pregnant, and put up w/ a lot of taunts, she arranged for her fetus to be adopted out once it was born, and did everything right, even though she had been a total vamp for more than a year. It was all going on well until the CVs there decided to reform Brij by having him fall ill and nobody caring about him, him coming to a realization and suddenly becoming a saint overnight, and w/ the help of Kabir & Jyoti, dissuading Sushma from not only adopting out her child, but convincing her to marry a reformed Brij.

If you recall, everybody was disgusted @ the serial for that track. Also, during that time, Sriti's character Sudha didn't turn up for that wedding, and shortly after, it was reported that Sriti was in talks over RS. It was a great decision she took, since RS easily outshone Jyoti.

One thing I've always wondered - did Sriti leave Jyoti in protest @ the really dysfunctional Brij-Sushma reunion track? Somewhere, I was under the impression that she did, and if she did, hats off to her. If she did, I just wonder why didn't she do the same in this serial? Jyoti too during Sushma's leaving Brij promoted that episode as a campaign against dv, and they too made a total mockery out of it by reuniting Sushma w/ Brij. That was the point where that serial started turning south, despite some bright spots in b/w like Jyoti's marriage to Kabir.

Reading about what they are planning to show reminds me of that Brij-Sushma reunion track, and how angry most of us in the Jyoti forum got on seeing that. Seeing this stuff is equally disgusting, and I really wish Sriti would pull out of it. Same for HC and KVB.
