Yes, exactly. But note the delight in his voice, the amusement. It sounds to me like he and his father had a bond, and not one of hatred. He admires his father. Because the way that he pokes himself isn't in a traumatic manner, or in a hurtful manner. If that was the actual case, then the dagger point would've made skin-to-skin contact and he would've sounded frightened. However, he doesn't.
Why would he beat up the mother who protected him unless he admired his father for the things that he did to her? Maybe father and son are more alike than we think -- in nature.
I'm not excusing his nature and saying that his childhood is to blame for his actions now. We all know that's not true. Nothing can excuse him. He's aware of his actions, aware of what's right and wrong -- but he gains pleasure from wrong.
I know the fake marriage thingy has thrown Viraj off and confused him...but for some reason...I didn't expect him to collapse so easily...I tought he'd give Raghav and Sia a real run for their money. Somewhere I feel he's fizzled out and weakened well before he got any real opposition from Raghav and Sia.
I think that V is so obsessed with order, his psychological order, and how things just must happen according to his plan -- that when something breaks his pattern/order, everything spins out of control for him and makes it near impossible for him overview the situation -- to catch the details, the loopholes, etc., that might've helped him figure Raghav/Sia out a long time ago.
If notice, V is actually a coward. When he "prepares" himself for the big fight with Raghav, he still plans on setting his goons loose on him first -- to weaken Raghav -- before he will give the final blow to him. That's a coward's work. If he had any real courage, he would've quite simply grabbed Raghav's collar and dragged him out of the house, beat him up. But no. Watch. He has to ask him to come over an abandoned place where he has his goons waiting to attack Raghav while he himself will stand somewhere far above, watching until he finds Raghav suitably weakened. And then he'll finish off the job.
I don't know why Raghav and Sia just don't come clean about their fake marriage. I mean the whole idea was to pretend that Viraj doesn't find out that Raghav knows the truth. But now that he does...Raghav should and Sia should just come clean to the rest of the family about Viraj. I mean I know they're keeping quiet so Viraj can make mistakes and they can collect evidence against him...and have him jailed and then put away from society for treatment and punishment...but...Gaytri Singh is pretty powerful...if they had her on their side...they'd have an immense amount of resources at their disposal. I remember she had asked Sia for her husband's identity...so she could have him punished...so?
