Tonight's episode was beautiful. There was a lot of suspense [which I'm trying really hard to accept since I've realized that it's their new style to gain TRPs]. But still. Great episode.
>> Pros:
1) Jahnvi knocks out a goon
I have never seen her knock someone out with confidence. In fact, I've never seen Jahnvi knock anyone out, ever. Heh. It was awesome. I suppose that I should start calling her by her new name now because, in the past couple of episodes, I feel like her transformation has finally shown itself in her actions, in her character.
2) Sia calls Sundar
Clever girl. She couldn't find a contact in the phone and dialed the missed call. For once, I feel like Sia was shown as someone who can do something beside fearing and being the illogical damsel in distress. She stepped up tonight. Kudos to Sriti Jha for her brilliant and absolutely mindblowing performance.
I do feel that Raghav is the reason for her connecting with her own inner strength. He has pushed her, poked her, and tempted her to explore her inner strength, to take those small but significant steps toward allowing Sia to overpower Jahnvi's fearing nature. Due to his involvement in her life, his guidance and support, Jahnvi discovered that there's a woman in her that she has tentatively named Sia, but has been too reluctant to explore. Now she is on the path of exploring that woman and realizing what she's capable of.
3) Raghav with his gang
Excuse me, but that was hot. The way that he stood there with his gang of muscles and it gave me this awesome flashback of Angel right before he and his gang went out on one of their missions to save a needy. Raghav was on fire tonight. In control.
4) "I trust you to protect everyone" and Sundar's resolve
Tragic, really. Because he should know that the best friend he trusts has helped V destroy his life. Hopefully, Sundar's resolve will lead him down the right track from now on. But I'm nervous. It seemed as if he was about to confront V, which is not a good idea. He should, simply, tell Raghav everything and let him decide how to deal with V.
Sundar, I fear, is putting his life in danger.
5) KriGhav reunited and their Epic Shot
That was frigging hot and awesome. Krish perched on Raghav's shoulder, confident and triumphant. His strong Chachu had arrived to kick the goons' butts. I loved the expression on Raghav's face -- it was fierce. Whereas I was drooling, I can understand that the goon was scared shitless because the look pointed at him was deadly.
Is it just me, or does Raghav have a thing for kicking goons where it hurts the most? đ
Omigod. The Krish on Raghav's shoulders shot was just epic. Can't get over it. Loved it.
6) Raghav carries Sia and Krish leads them on
The entire scene seemed symbolic to me. First, Raghav offered Sia a hand. Note that he didn't just take her arm and lift her up. He held out a hand and gave her a choice. And as we all saw, she chose to take his hand, take his help, his support.
Second, Raghav carrying Sia and Krish holding her dupatta, leading them was a sign and held most of the symbolism. He is a binding factor between them. Someone who will lead them, bring them closer to each other. Beautiful symbolism, truly. Well executed.
Third, I loved how awkward Raghav felt, how uncomfortable he seemed. He couldn't even look her in the eye.
7) The Promise
Somehow this two-second shot struck a cord in me, struck much harder than any of the other symbolism. You see, it was such a casual shot. Raghav-Sia, hands clasped, as he supported her while she climbed on the bike, no eye-contact, his back turned.
But it was the ease, the familiarity, with which their hands were clasped and the complete confidence with which he supported her and Sia climbed on. It conveyed so much. There was nothing ajnabee or awkward about it. It was power. Like, they were a team. Together in this. And most of all, I thought that it was a promise. A promise of support.
Just watch:
8) How could I forget The Smile?
It was so beautiful. The moment Raghav appeared, Sia smiled. There was relief and joy.
Watch:
Sia: I knew he would come.
>> Cons:
1) A bit too much suspense
I'm starting to just accept it as it is. I still don't like it. But... as long as they sustain things such as character development, logic [well, as much as they can with suspense around], and don't cut the scenes, I'll survive the drama.
2) Krish runs away during their deadly game
Did not make sense to me. Krish has been special from the start. He's a unique kid who's been able to see/understand more than most adults. He'd know that when they're running from rude men, it's not a game and he should stick to Sia. It was a bit illogical. Plus I had a feeling that they added that shot only to create suspense.
It was a character blooper to me.
