Good, solid episode tonight. Quite suspenseful, not much character development. But the symbolism was obvious and the performances were brilliant.
>> Pros:
1) Jahnvi's story and Krish plays along
I loved the story. I loved how she used symbolism such as the magician -- something that I interpreted as V [the villain who is actually behind the whole thing]. I loved how she tried to convince Krish that they were playing a game, etc. But what I loved the most was how Krish, being the perceptive kid that he is, didn't for one second believe it. He played along to support her, comfort her. He knew that this wasn't a game at all.
SJ and Yash were amazing in their scenes together. Beautiful chemistry and performance that struck a cord in me. The way that Jahnvi struggled to control her fear, to protect Krish from danger -- like a lioness protecting her cub, I swear. She just couldn't bear to lose her Krish one more time.
The emotional challenge and her struggle will make her come out of this stronger.
One of the best parts was when she told him that the hero would come to save them and that the hero was Raghav. Loved how she used her arms to demonstrate his strength. It conveyed her complete faith in Raghav's strength and how she actually saw his physical power as protection rather than danger.
It was like a mother telling her child that his father would come and save them both. Just adored the symbolism. Ram, Sita, Krishna.
2) Raghav's out searching while Gayatri relies on the cops
I love this man. Rather than going home, revealing the news, and waste his time on, well, female emotional hysteria -- he started searching on his own right away, pulling all of the strings, all the contacts that he had, doing his hero thing.
He was pissed and worried, but controlled himself, thinking, using his rationale rather than his emotional turmoil to guide him on. Beautiful.
Gayatri, on the other hand, relied on the cops. Which was fine since she has a power that she can exercise there. Both mother and son used their brains to deal with the situation at hand.
3) Gayatri's calm demeanour and observation
I loved how calm Gayatri remained. Nothing can faze this woman. Heh. Even in this very emotional situation, she managed to stay calm and even observer her surroundings. She observed, for instance, that V wasn't at work like he was supposed to be. [Which goes to show how overconfident V is becoming since he's making little mistakes and thus leaving behind little traces of his dark deeds -- in Greek Mythology, the gods punished men for their hybris].
Anyhow, point is that I'm hoping Gayatri will, at some point, figure him out with her sharp and capable mind.
4) V frames Jahnvi
Unbelievable. No, wait. It's believable. In fact, I've seen V stoop lower until he was all but rubbing his face against the sidewalk. The man has no conscience, no shame, no care for anyone but himself. I expected him to kidnap Krish, damage Krish. Why not?
I'm starting to enjoy watching him stoop lower and lower and lower. Because that means his punishment will be a one-way ticket straight to Hell -- where he belongs.
5) Neha's performance in the "Krish has been kidnapped" scene
She was amazing. I was annoyed that she had to faint -- because it's so typical. But okay, emotional trauma and all. I understand. Hands down, she nailed it in the scene. The way that she kept going "what?", like she couldn't believe her own ears.

1) Rush Rush Rush
Every scene was rushed. No funny cuts. But rushed scenes. I'd rather want funny cuts than rushed scenes.
2) Not much of Raghav tonight
Booo, CVs! I shall haunt you for this!
But it seemed that the hero arrived in the precap 😃 😳 For that alone, I shall forgive you.
