Disappointing episode -- apart from Raghav/Gayatri interaction. I'm sorry in advance if I come across as extremely negative. But the episode left me feeling void. Except for the brief R/G scenes.
>> Cons:
1) The suspense-concentrated leaps between scenes
None of the scenes were given proper time to play out. It was all cut, next, cut, next. That ruined a lot for me. It seemed as if the writers -- in their eager to create suspense, drama, or whatever -- didn't complete the scenes between characters and jumped ahead. Before I could even register V's fantasy of torturing Jahnvi, they cut the scene short. Suddenly, it was Double Vs on the bed. Then that scene was cut. Suddenly, it was morning. Then as I started to get into the breakfast conversation, CUT. We were at the garage with Raghav, and Sundar was acting weird. CUT. Sundar left. We were back at the house and V was in a flirting mood. CUT. He was watching Jahnvi. THE END.
Excuse me, but
I have no clue what the writers are doing with the flow and pace of the show. But it's just making me wanna rip my hair out in frustration.
2) Gayatri's ignorance verging on stupidity
Am I the only one who finds it utterly unbelievable and out of character for an intelligent, powerful, and sharp-minded woman such as Gayatri to fall for what Mr. Bhalla said? She has been in that business for how long? This is the same woman who stood outside her ashram and demanded that the cops show her a warrant, and then went straight to their boss for clarification on the matter.
She has has an employee for 5 years and suddenly he forges her signature on a doc that aims to destroy her son's home, and she doesn't stop for one second to hear what he has to say in his defense or uses her sharp mind to reach the conclusion that this is somehow illogical and needs further investigation?
V is the one who suggested that there's a bigger hand behind it all. Um?
She seriously just came across as dumb. I was like: O.o It was entirely out of character for her since she wasn't introduced as a dumb character. In fact, she was introduced as someone who could match V's mind and wealth and power with her own. Why are they making such huge character bloopers?
3) Krish's trust in V
Makes no frigging sense. Krish has witnessed V as an unpleasant man. First the football incident during which he showed Krish Jahnvi's picture. Krish was frightened by him and in addition to that he refused to tell V anything because he sensed something bad about him. Next the incident with Jahnvi right after V turned up in the house. She broke down in front of Krish, and he's not a stupid kid to not have noticed her fear or understood it. Next came the incident in V's room with the magic trick before which Krish heard all about the "mechanic" needing to be removed.
Again Krish isn't stupid, and his gut's been telling him since day one that V is bad and he never liked him. One magic trick and chocolate made him forget all this? Uh, okay.
Character blooper.
4) Sundar keeping secrets from Raghav
Seems like everyone's fraternizing with the enemy nowadays. Now Sundar is keeping a secret from Raghav -- something that he wouldn't do under any circumstances unless he had been threatened on Raghav's life, and even then he would've found a way to warn Raghav. So, really, whatever the reason -- Sundar keeping secrets from him does not make any damn sense.
Their relationship isn't like that.
Another character blooper.
5) V Double Drama in the nude
It was unnecessary, and the CVs are utterly ridiculing his character. Yeah, I'm all against glorification of an evil character, but that doesn't mean I'm in favor of CVs assassinating V's character to add humor or suspense.
Character blooper.
6) Jahnvi
No comments. I'm fed up with her.
7) The supari on Gayatri
I'm sorry. But since when did DSDDSB? turn into 24. We went from fight against domestic violence to superior conspiracies and government plotting against a wealthy widow. Wow. How exciting. Not.
What I fail to understand is why the writers are dragging this crap and making it all about V wanting to put down Raghav and his family? The only thorn in his eye is Raghav. And more than removing Raghav, V wants Jahnvi back. If V had been in character, he would have just kidnapped her, taken her back to his house, and then tried to woo her back with his oh-I'm-your-lover ways until she cracked.
But this whole dragfest is verging on stereotypical suspense and drama that has moved way past logic and DV theme-related to something along the lines of a B-rated show.
WHAT is going on? If this is all for TRPs, I can tell the writers now that it's not working.
>> Pros:
1) Raghav and Gayatri's interaction and scenes
Fabulous. Absolutely mindblowing chemistry and dialogues and eye-locks between mother and son. The best part for me was when he touched her feet for blessing, insecure and hopeful, and when she placed her hand on his shoulder with a quiet kind of wonder.
