just want to say.. this is close to real life situation... and surly not for the week heart...

but glad you made it this far and enjoyed it...

however to other who actually loving this show... hats off to you...
its not easy to see the real life situation... and i hope everyone one of us, who have and who haven't learn something from this show, that how crul the world is...

As far as marital rape is concerned, then most women face it at some point of their life . At least in this case, it's known that Viraj is mentally ill for his abusive childhood.

There are many so-called "normal" men who might not beat their wives everyday for silly reasons like Viraj, but there must be a time when those men have not listened to anything and forced their wives to have physical relationship. If we do a research, at least 70% of women would testify that.

In fact, I have heard a case where the husband is alleged to have raped his wife whenever there was a big fight - specially if the fight had been started by the wife. Though those big fights had occurred few times in their three year married life, but it seems for many men, forcing the wife to have sex is like the ultimate win over her. It's like a punishment for the mistakes she has done !


People like Viraj with anger issues and paranoia do exist in our society - actually there are lots of people who can't control their anger and needs treatment.

If the serial shows that treatment part it would be a good social message - many people would know what to do with people like Viraj and how we can be careful and help our near ones in early stage if we start to see such symptoms .

I would love to see Jahnvi to protest for what he has done to her. But stay with Viraj at least for sometime after she knows abusive past and his sickness - not because he is her husband but because she wants to help a sick man.

I just hope your friend gets the courage to move ahead in life. Tell her to always believe that everything will be okay. Everyone says that if one believes in something with complete conviction, it becomes a reality. There should not be an ounce of doubt. Few times, I have experienced that in my life too. Also, please tell her to do meditation - it relaxes the mind.


Her husband, it seems, needs medicine and counseling. It seems he is suffering from paranoia of highest level. If she has already left him, then she is now free. But that man will not be free from his own demon. His family should take to him a doctor.

Honestly, I don't think it was out of character at all. It might seem like that for some, who believe that there is some warmth behind the character that might surface later. But guys like these do this to their wife to show to them that they are the only man in their life, and to show their dominance over them.

@ abby yes i agree rape was too much... but i think that the cvs wanted to do something hatke.. to grab our attention.. thats why the rape and now you have it... the result 1.5 trp
