I was sharing the jist of the story with my sons today and the older one looked up with a dismayed look and asked, "So what is entertainment here?" I told him that it is just not "entertainment" but also educational where people who are in such situations can learn to get professional or familial help rather than get stuck in such psycho situations and become a psycho themselves.

Kudos to the team creating this serial. Frankly it is worthy of being a "docuserial"- semi-fiction and semi-real. there are so many cases of such mental abuse and violent behaviour that it is not something that we as society can just ignore and turn our heads the other way and say- it is her "bhagya"- her "sow" "bhagya"- sorry- such "bhagya" is not fit to be called "bhagya"- callign yourself educated and perpetrating such rubbish without "doing" something about it is not "bhagya"- Krishna clearly tells Arjuna to take up his bow and fight. This topic- demands a good "fight".

Completely agree with you on this! Once it so happened that my mom went to sleep in a disturbed state of mind after watching Viraj beat Jhanvi with the stick.. and she was like watching a show should not give one that sick feeling, rather should relieve your stress. 😆 I guess, this show is not for entertainment purpose but a revelation that men like these do exist. Every passing episode, we get an insight into his psyche. Although the last 2 epis, I felt Jhanvi was behaving dumb but maybe she did not know how to handle and think on spot during the crisis.

Loved your Krishna-Arjun analogy!

I can't watch this show in front of my mom because she tells it's really disturbing and kinda dirty. But anyways, it's her choice. I'm watching this show and will remain stick to it till the end. This show is really unique and with a social message. Love this show. 😳 Btw great post!

Hi blokes :)
nice to see you here. I have been loving & following your posts since CB S1 forum. I've learnt a lot from you & hope that you'll continue with your posts.
loved your Krishna-Arjun analogy :)
Truly, this is a very different show, and really hats off to the people who had the guts to execute it. Karanvir & Sriti are just fabulous. I really wish that people who have gone through such torture, will step out & fight for their right.

hey thanks prahelika, binge, bidz-cutegirl! prc-fan- gr8 to see u here too! Yeah, am getting educated in a brand new way with all these new shows and the diverse taste of audiences everywhere. I sincerely hope they show the social value in this show as it is getting to be a bit unnerving not being able to see how the Viraj character will react to every possible situation. As much as Jhanvi has learned to identify many of his "triggers" she cannot catch them all. He seriously needs medical attention and soon! She is already becoming neurotic. What is very sad is that many women/ men who are in situations of abuse do not even "know" that they are in one! They accept it as their "bhagya", look at the silver lining and say "he is not all that bad- has no bad habits" etc. and excuse them away.
