no joke
my nani's cousin's daughter (my distant aunt) was wed at a young age of 20 back in the day (she's now 50yrs old) to my ex uncle (they're no longer together) .. at first no one in the family knew he was abusive as he presented himself very nicely to everyone and furthermore was from a good family.. my poor aunt lived with him for 8-9 years in silence with him abusing her (physically & mentally) ..it was long until one of the realtives actually convinced themselves that this was really happening and got my aunt out of that relationship... to this day she is not all there mentally she remains disturbed and is almost incoherant of the real world around her.. i met her this past summer and i had no idea of her ordeal since on one told me but whenever i talked to her she couldnt hear me and only paid attention to what her sister told her and commanded her..it was then my cousin told me of what had happened... abuse of any knd leaves an almost irreversible damage if done for a long period of done and continuously..i felt so bad for her
watchign this show is so distressful, even more so since i know someone who went through it and to this day is not normal.. i hope atleast in this show they will make jhanvi (coincidently my name as well 🤔) come through this stronger and not giving up her strength

Same thing happened to one of my relatives. The man she married was from a respectable family, and everyone assumed they were the perfect match. No one found out about the mistreatment until after she had two girls and about 10 years into the marriage. Luckily, both sides of the family supported the divorce, even though the man himself was horrible about it.

And exactly like your aunt's situation, this woman has still not been able to come to terms with it. Even her children, who both got married recently, took a while in choosing a partner because of the ordeal their mother went through and how it affected them actually even trusting any man.

Abusive situations completely affect the individual being abused, no doubt about it, but they end up affecting everyone else in the family as well, and that's what makes it even scarier. But having people to support you and persist in showing you their love is definitely very crucial in helping them get out of this situation.

Sigh, and what happened to the man? He got off scot free, bribed people and moved on.

Feeling so freaking bad for your aunt. These kind of men are real psychos and make the life of others hell! I hope Viraj is suffering for a disease and not actually like this in the show.

Feeling so sad and bad for ur aunty Desigal , and to ur relative Naina...
...

The feelings and bad memories of abuse never leave a person who suffered for a long time ... Its easy to say I understand , but honestly none can really understand the pain of a mental and physical abuse of a Psycho person ... its like living in hell and even if u ask for help, none really help as they dont believe u since the other person leaves no track of that ... Esp for a gal all parents ask is Adjust he will change wth time , but wat about the gal who is not able to adjust and never going to forget that life of a hell ...

Hope both of them recover and come to being on a normal life which they had earlier ...

Some ppl forget their hell live if they get second chance of a loving and carrying husband who can make them forget their past , but not all ladies can trust a man again in their life , if this abuse wasnt for long , there are hope for gals to start a new life

It is such a sad story. People never know the extent of such abuse unless they've experienced it and the sad part is even though your abuser leaves you, those memories of being abused will haunt you for as long as you live. Even small matters trigger fears; you feel like the entire world is against you, you no longer feel like you can trust another man or woman for that matter( i added both gender because its not just women who get abused). I know someone who was closed to me who was abused and sadly lost her life due to that experience.

But i guess what does not kill us makes us stronger and even though this experience will scarr anyone physically and mentally, we just have to bear in mind that atleast we were fortunate enoguh to escape and we should make the most of that second chance. Because most people do not make it out alive from these experiences.
Its sad that the law is not tough enough in these areas. Tougher sanctions should be given to such vile human beings. Feel bad for all men&women who have been abused.:(
Wish your aunty all the best:)

My closest Cousin faced the same issue..She had a love marriage without the permission from her mother(Her father has been dead since she was eight)..My cousin did not even completed her studies at the age of 18 she ran away to marry this guy , who was 13 years older than her..After few months her mother and my parents and all relatives accepted the marriage ..Things were smooth ..She used to visit us in holidays ..She is older to me and loves me a lot . we share a great bond ..But she never told me initially what she was going through ...After 7 years she one day ran back from her in law's house(She used to live in a rented apartment with her husband alone)...That day without me no one was there in the house..She had marks all over her body ...She told me her husband used to beat her allmost everyday ..She was raped by him , He used to burn her skin with cigarettes and when she could not conceive any child ,,Torture increased ...I don't know if he is like Viraj or not ..But situations of Jhanvi is similar to her ...

Thankfully last year itself she filed a divorce ...She got it this year in February ...
[One thing is Her husband never seemed abnormal to me]
