The biggest mistake Star Plus did was competing against Biggie show like BIGG BOSS.
Firstly how do you expect any newbie show to fight against a reality show like BIGG BOSS... Popularity and the fan following of Bigg Boss is very huge and vast.
According to me the reason for constant low trps was the competition against Bigg Boss. Logically the fate of the serial should have been decided once Bigg Boss was wrapped up as the channel would have exactly known the popularity of the show.(I personally expected that)
Logically speaking the channel should have given DSJZ at least a month's time to see the changes in the trp after Bigg Boss wrapped up. Due to Hotstar viewers could access the new episodes early at 6.00 and Bigg Boss was something which wasn't available before the air time hence the viewers had no other option but to watch it at 10.30 everyday.
I reckon the marketing team has failed miserably and Star Plus had lost an unusual show with an amazing star cast because of it's poor decision making. DSJZ never got it's fair opportunity to establish itself.
If you analyze the channel could have shifted Ishaqbaaz at 10.30 as it was already a well established show and could have given DSJZ a 10 pm slot to establish itself and gather some fan following. But the channel wasn't ready to let the TRPs of an already established show get affected and hence a newbie show...our show had to bear the cost..
I don't understand how come the team at Starplus couldn't analyze this simple thing about the competition against Bigg Boss.
The mistake could have been rectified by changing the time slots but no a decision to shut the serial was already been taken which according to me was something our show ddnt deserve.
Is there not even a single logical person working at Star Plus? And don't they take Hotstar viewership into consideration ? I hope there is an open end so that the serial will be be able to come up with another season to do justice to the storyline and the original serial...
The mistake made by the makers was by not coming to the point.. initially the story was fast paced. The marriage happened in 10 episodes which was a good sign. Honeymoon didn't require 5 days... Could have been wrapped in 2 days... Then you waste 2 weeks on just Anant and his anger which was not necessary. I had read the 52 episodes of our Hindi version had just covered the 9 episodes of the Turkish version. Makers should learn that dragging ultimately leads to shutting shop. Imagine where the story would have been today if the dragging hadn't taken place!
The biggest looser here is the story and the amazing star cast who could have done justice to the original storyline... Shame Starplus... Thanks for making me believe that Hindi TV serials are just waste of time.
The reason why all the foreign tv series become successful and work is because they give more importance to the storyline and not the TRPs! Reframing a know statement... Content, Execution ka peecha karo TRPs and Popularity Z*#$* marke peecha karegi!! We have some amazing examples like GOT, Breaking Bad, Ever green Friends, our very own Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai... Learn India! We need a TV revolution and I hope it happens sooner..
