This is depressing
Wouldn't say it was shocking looking at how it continues to get low trps but it's doing great in the UK
Am really hoping they won't pull it off air & in case they decide to do,at least try & host it on hotstar or any other online platform.A lot many people watch online

And this trp system has go to go.A few thousand households do not represent the million other households that are conveniently left out of the survey. This system continues to destroy TV viewing with mediocre content making it to the top of the TRP charts, channels intervening & making changes to the storyline which is an infringement of the creativity of the writers and makers & good shows being taken off air without even giving them a chance to tell their story which is completely unacceptable.

Big channels give you the initial kickstart..yes but they do hold you down when you stop getting the desired numbers ( whatever that is ).And so hoping ,in future sensible storytellers would want to tell their story on the internet which is thankfully a free space as of now where they can at least have the satisfaction of showing their work without any external interference rather than on TV which continues to stifle creative freedom & put off viewers who actually care for good content but are left disappointed more often

It's truly incompetent of those who ever are behind the trp system that they haven't updated their survey ... like come on India is the second most populated country in the world. How can only few thousand households represent the viewership? Especially with almost everyone using dish or set up boxes it shouldn't be that hard

Exactly & as for being incompetent, with reports of TRP manipulation having surfaced up in the past,it's more about some politics at play rather than being about pure incapacity
Am really hoping they shift it to some new time slot & if that doesn't work out,no harm on letting it continue on hotstar, right.Hoping they do

Someone needs to fire the director of the channel. They should by now know what kind of shows work on indian tv. Why waste money, copy good shows and then ruin it and At the end blame the audience.
Just stick to their saas bahu shows and dont ruin good stories.😡

P.S: which source is this? Isnt the show doing good in UK? They didnt pull the plug on p.o.w or everest or tamana. They just reduced the no.of episodes.

I still can't understand as to the kind of shows that work well with Indian Audience
Didn't " Saans " & " Kora Kagaz " do well on Star Plus many years back ! Saans was the no 1 show then

Also can never agree with what Ekta had to say a decade back when she took star plus by storm with her K shows when asked about why she kept making shows that had nothing to offer except bland love stories & kitchen politics about how she offers exactly what the audience wants to see & went on to quote the astronomic TRP numbers to substantiate her claim.
And I still don't understand how each one of her show is a blockbuster on the TRP chart. It's simply beyond me especially when it comes to her show " Kumkum Bhagya " which completed 1000 episodes with absolutely nothing to show except total nonsense

Indian TV needs saving.Don't know how

when shows like saans kora kagaz aired tv was mostly watched only by urban audience. When DD started showing serials all serials were good. Whether it was mythological or comedy or drama. I still remember how good tu mein mein was and how popular mandira bedi was due to shakti andi am not even from north india. By the time ekta entered, the rural areas also started to get tv and cables. They obviously will enjoy stories about uneducated sanskari bahu over a female lead fighting against her mother's rapists. I recently read an article about how bold and content oriented earlier tv shows were. Some even had extra marital affair as the central story. I guess evem nikki walia's last show was about the woman falling in love with a guy much younger to her.

Star Plus' popular daily Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara (Vikram Bhatt helmed) starring Sanjay Kapoor and Smriti Kalra, had recently hit the small screen with a unique storyline but it failed to garner the numbers to sustain on the tube.

Thus, we hear that the channel has decided to pull the plug off the show.

The daily will air its last episode on 2 February 2018.

As per reliable sources, "The team of Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara has been informed about the channel's decision and the last day of shoot is 25 January.

We buzzed the concerned actors for a comment, but they remained unavailable.

Vikram Bhatt too remained unavailable.

We sent out a text message to the channel spokesperson, but received no reply.

Watch this space for more updates.

Oh God!
Well it was bound to happen
In star plus there is just saas baahu huh!
They don't understand anything else
I read that someone here wrote it would be better In Sony well I agree they telecast good things not trp gaining saas baahu things...
Star plus can't telecast one show that is not high voltage drama
Now they'll just give it a crappy end😡

But this is such a short notice. How can they end the show like that. Feb 2 means 3 weeks almost. I dont understand how are they planning to shape up the story.
This is seriously not fair!! The makers must come out with some official update now.
I do not want a vague ending for this show.

Honestly, if this show ends and they butcher the ending then we should just never expect anything from adaptions anymore cause the same thing happend with KKHAK and since sp really believes in their nayi soch, we should just let them be and find something better to watch not on sp.

i read an article about why sp stopped dopahar shows. They ended it due to financial problems and i dont remember correctly. At that time their sports channel bough the rights of a sports franchise( i guess IPL or something related to cricket) at a huge price and due to which they ended some shows for cost cutting.
