Because deciding on a single time is impossible since people come from different countries at times n everybody has got different schedules n routine. Having 10 different threads don't get updated every now n then, we have new comment on one or two threads in an hour or two. If we have only one thread n if everyone comments only in that thread, we'll have more comments at the same place n everyone will read everything n that will give a boost to more discussions. We may ignore one new comment, but if there r many new pages that have been created, that gets us excited n we read n comment. That's what I feel, give it a try guys!
