For those who have followed IB from the start, they will remember that the ACP who was supposedly investigating the "Fake suicide video" of some girl who slit her throat in a video and accused Tej and Shakti of being responsible was an "ACP Rathore". They never showed this ACP. We all speculated that who is this person and will they make an entry in the show? But instead, they brought in ACP Randhawa (Ranveer). He said he took over the case and then he was investigating the Gayatri murder case in which Shivaay got accused. (That mystery never got solved).
Then we saw Ranveer had a personal vendetta against Priyanka and Om who he accused of running his sister over and leaving her for dead. But the truth was, they never found a body and they had no idea what happened to the person Priyanka ran over. In the end we see that the guilt of hiding the truth of the accident drove Om to drugs. Ranveer comes in the picture and starts to Blackmail Priyanka and Om. Ranveer said that his sister is in a coma, but it turned out that was a lie. Now I wonder if the whole thing was a set up from the start? But I think the makers just deviated from the plot as usual. Suddenly that track got side-tracked. Ranveer was made into Kamni's son and we all know the rest.
Anyways, it may be that the ACP who was originally in charge of the fake suicide video case was this same ACP Rathore? Why else would they use that name? At that time we wondered if they would introduce the ACP as a woman and Om's lead (coz he was the one without one). But instead, they did DBO, and kicked out Rudra's "Wife" and brought in ACP Rathore as his lead. But the way Rudra lied it made him look so pathetic and Bhavya was laughing at him, which I found funny. Still not sure of her, but at least the story is somewhat interesting. Hope she puts Pinky and Kameeni in Jail! LOL
