JShraddha, begining of the story explained it all. And chapter was all I want in the show. Why should the female lead be treated like a piece of s**t? She is a human after all, and every human will and should have self respect. No matter if you love someone, the most important thing to love is your self respect. I expect Gauri to be the untamed Kali till Omkara realises that he has committed a grave sin wronging a woman, name calling her, repeatedly wounding her self respect. I don't care whether he would love her in future but all I want is him to feel guilty about his horrendous sin.

While writing this, I was afraid whether you would like this gouri coz as we see she never backfire at him.
But I guess, hearing a lot of taunts from him for a lot of time can change her devotion to hatred. I guess in the show too, we will get to see this gouri 😉
