While I agree on principle that is is not ideal, I don't know if making a deal with Gauri to get rid of Svet ruins Om totally? Yes the guy he was before probably would not have done it. Having said that, he saved Gauri despite not thinking well of her. Then he was honest enough to walk away from there afterwards, coz he did not accept the marriage as real.
So up to that point he has stayed true to his characterisation. Now he will find out that ChulBul is Gauri. I don't know how it will all play out. But it seems at the end of this chapter Gauri will return to OM with Om and somehow they will try to oust Svetlana? What the exact dynamics are I don't know?
However "using" her is only an issue if he either threatens her in order to get her to agree to this, or pretends to her that he accepts the marriage too and cons her into a false sense of security! If he does neither of those, then I don't see where he is being dishonest? Do we actually know how this deal will be struck and what the terms are? Without knowing that how can we conclude that Om is "using" Gauri? If he IS I will be the first to accept it. But I think we actually need to see what he does before we can say it for sure! (Or am I missing something? Has it been confirmed in some way that Om is conning Gauri?)
