Gul Khan talks about IB/DBO! (Added)

IB and DBO are now sister shows not parent and offspring. 😊

Asked if the story will re-focus on the three brothers Shivaay, Rudra and Omkar Oberoi that it originally was based on, Khan said, "When we first started, we wanted to focus on the three brothers and was a breath of fresh air but after a while the three brothers was stagnating us in the numbers (ratings). We can't base it completely on that (three brothers) now." Khan said that the show will be "gunning" more for the romantic angle.

Khan also confirmed that Dil Boley Oberoi' will see a number of tweaks as its storyline will work in parallel with sister show Ishqbaaaz' after the Indian Premier League concludes. She also added that the character of Rudra, played by Leenesh Mattoo will get a lot more "meaty". She said, "That's next on the cards. His love story. We're gonna mount him."

When asked about the spin-off he said they are happy with the response but the journey has just started and they have miles to go. The the boys deserved their own story that wasn't possible in just 21 minutes to focus on the 3 equally.

About Rudra she said Leenesh is a great actor and I agree till now we didn't use his potential fully but post IPL his track will start.

When asked why always the male in her shows is shown arrogant, egoistic and female is all bubbly and full of life. She said it's because she like it to be like this but with Rudra's story it will flip. The guy will be bubbly and all but the girl will arrogant and all. In other words girl will be like Bad is the new good. [Why I sense Soumya is scrapped]

When asked about no continuation or connection b/w IB and DBO she said post IPL the stories will run in parallels and we'll start doing CROSS-OVER episodes too. [Me Excited]

Fizzy TRP nahi Serial Gayi

Channel puts pressure on ph to bring twist n drama so serial can run longer chahe story gayi tel lene:(

It's to do with all the channel serials ph so gul is not doing anything with different , they have to run the show to make money pay actors and ruin the story which are common now

People react here without even knowing the whole story Show parallel to hona hi thaaPeople complain when they do not see Omkara in IB or when they do not see Shivay n family in DBO Ab jab Milne wala hai tab bhi complain [BR][BR]Gul will do anything to make the show longer running n bringing good TRP[BR]

Yes Gaurika like now she had been giving the tracks in DBO which fetch TRPs

We still got to see brothers' bonding even if it was over others' girl. The siblings bonding was always there till 80 episodes. It wasn't like how it is now.

Yeah it actually is sad but as she explained the online audience lived Obbros and the focus being the 3 brothers and their bonding but BARC system goes down the rural areas too and something like that. Basically anything for TRP aunties. It actually is not GUL KHAN'S fault I think in this matter. It's the audience (Tv) who cannot accept different and fresh concept. Produces and makers are forced to do things as per TRP likings because rozi toti ka bhi tou sawaal hai. Listening to her felt like the they really enjoyed directing & writing about Obbros but sigh the audience 😭
