They wanted to see Rudra and his story get progression. Neither of which was happening in IB. DBO IS a different show and there was never an intent to make it an extension of IB. I don't understand even after 1 month why people have not understood the concept of a Spin-off. The timelines don't need to match. They are different shows. Yes it has the same characters and some new characters as well. But fundamentally they are two different stories. In DBO the TejVi family are the focus and they are doing all their dramas on the 2nd floor! LOL. Finally, we are seeing all the twisted dramas of Tej and how he acts when everyone else is not present. Clearly in the main lounge in front of the whole family and even guests, he would not act the same as he acts in private. I am happy for Mahesh Thakur as well. Finally he is also getting something of substance to do. He is a really good actor and was being mostly wasted in IB.

In IB Prinyankas marriage track is going on so Assume Tej & Jhnavi r good in Front of them. What happens in DBO could be taking place in the afternoon at home.
I think they will match the scenes once this Svetlana drama is over. But yes it's confusing if they r showing two diff shows might as well they should have taken Kunal and started with a new show with a new story Y the need of this spin off.!
