I definitely am watching DBO for story.

Like seriously without a proper storyline, IB has become disastrous. I would not want the same to happen in DBO.

I expect to watch OmRu given equal screen space with proper storylines. Do not want both of them and their female leads to be neglected + hope to get my usual dosage of Obbros bromance. That is the main reason i started watching IB in the first place.

Sorry to say that story will be repeated one and nothing different. And om is the main lead. Rudra is second lead. Like people here I also wish and want many things but not going to get everything fulfilled. If anyone is expecting here anything different then please be ready to accept the reality. The different story chosen for om is already scrapped.

DBO is just another gul khan story. If anything will be new, it is actors, acting, chemistry.

If anyone is keeping hope for something different or unexpected or new or fresh storyline, please be ready to get your hopes dashed.

So be prepared yourself now if you want to watch, better to get heartbreak after watching.

will work for me. More than k dashing look, I am fan of his acting skills. Hence I will love him watchin playing all kind of shades of omkara.

ditto. me too had great expectation from oms story.otherwise i would have loved shivika.may b i dont like shivay but i love nakuls acting.atleast i wanted a well educated girl for om with attitude or a spoiled brat.but wen i saw first montage shoot pics om in dark clothes it was understood hez getting changed into guls typical trp hero to fight with rival chanel show.n gauri kumari sharma a mixture of khushi n anika same old bechari ladki with typical slang of gul heroins.so i have stopped expecting anything from dbo. if it fulfil any of my expectations it will b bonus.have waited more than 8 months for oms story so i am just going to watch om story with less expectation n enjoy shrenal chemistry.

We all Omkara fans want Story wo bas promos se pata chala we will get ghissi pitti story like shivka but still hope simthing better waiting for us becz Omkara is alag ;) awin tum sab senti ho ra ho :p

but tbh i watched suchaa silly not my typ show like ishqbaaz for omkara now i will watch this also only and only for kunal my Omkara singh Oberoi tho i really want good story but same log se umeed bhi kare toh kyaa kare :(

That's problem friend. Everyone wants to write story for om. The different story many want for om may be not will liked by all. If many people like IshKara then many others dislike too. Everyone wants and wish something. But cv will run show according to their wish. They will not look in to demands of each fan.

Actors and couple matters for me lot.

I left ishqbaaaz not because of shivika but because of no story for om. I did not dislike shivika story . but I was never interested in them. What I disliked was no screenspace and growth for om. He was just like beautiful furniture in show.

More than Om, I like kunal because he portrayed om very well.

Ishqbaaaz is still better show than others on tv. Very few Indian shows which stands out with good content. Otherwise maximum serials are with saas and bahu or other woman at centre. Men don't have role.

I am kdrama die hard fan. And even they recycled their most of dramas with same predictable story.

For love story , actors and their chemistry matters a lot. I can't watch any romantic story of any actor.

Ditto to everything you have said. Even I watched for Brothers and ended up getting saas bahu and sautan drama lately. No story at all in IB anymore. No real plot. I don't even know where it's going? I can't just watch a show for a couple, there has to be something interesting in the story too. At one time when the show was balanced between the three brothers it was interesting. But now it's anything but.

So I want DBO to at least have a plot. Is that too much to ask? I know this PH messes the story up good. But at least TRY to come up with something less inane?

@Ila & Snowhite: I love Naakul too. I also agree, if story mattered nothing to me I could love Shivika too. I even liked them somewhat, but they were never my point of interest. However, there is no story in IB and Gul pairings are too cliched now. So I don't enjoy them much anymore. If Gaurika RiKara (whichever they are called) is a rinse repeat of the IB main couple, then I will loose interest in their story fast. I hope the "Plot" is interesting enough to keep me hooked. IB only kept me hooked coz I loved the Brothers and the Bromance. If not would have quit long back. Love stories that make no sense don't appeal to me much.

I hope Rudra is given enough focus coz the "different" story is now only for him. Om would have got a different story too if their stories had been developed properly in IB. But the makers failed miserably at it. So now Om gets reduced to a TRP hero and Gauri is a typical girl who's character is not really ringing any bells for me as of now. WHY posh, educated and rich guys have to be paired with girls who are nowhere close to them in any way is just beyond me? Why can't a GIRL have some power and money for a change? Can't she be a self-made woman? Not some poor destitute orphan all the time!

The only saving grace is we don't have to "wonder" why Om's character is the way he is, we already know. He is desperate to make 100 crores and get rid of Svetlana. He wants to prove a point to Tej, he wants to give his Mom her pride back. He wants to put things right. On THAT score, I will be very interested to see how he progresses from old Omkara to the new and how he handles all this. I still hope they don't make him abusive. Yes, that one scene where he manhandled Svet. That was not a nice scene and I didn't like it. But you don't taunt a man about his Mother who is half dead and you are part of the reason and expect to get a Boquet in return. I still hope the character of Om does not disappoint in DBO and expect a "Tiny bit better" from this story than their usual cliche. But I am here to see Kunal and Lee's acting in this show and to see OmRu!
