For Dhruv, it's a reasonably easy compartmentalization in his mind.
When they're alone, he says Tara, and so tum.
When someone else is around, it's always Rajkumari Tarapriya, and always aap.
I think Tara will settle on aap for Dhruv, even when they're mostly alone. It was aap two days ago when she had a dialogue in her mind to tell him she loves him; it was aap today when she asked him what he was doing with the garland; and her promise in tomorrow's precap is also an aap.
The last two "tums" from her have come in moments of extreme emotion- one when he was about to throw the fire-lit torch on her father, and the other when he told her to run away when the assailants were there.
