I have my own theory that it coincided with the channels' strategy.
I separate SP as Blue star era and Red Star era. The biggest difference is that they changed its title credits and disclaimers from English to Hindi.
Zee too, at one point had English. The older shows if you watch the credits are English.
Do you remember for DP when the credits changed, I worried on the EDT that this is marking the end. It was the date episode. I worried that they would show Baapji as right, not wrong. People told me not to worry. LOL Sheils even asked me what I know, I was like nothing...just that that change means a change in strategy.
Colors has changed too. It used to come in English till it changed sometime in 2012. (Though I think with BB and such shows, it's probably still in English.. not sure.)
