By the way, I will just add. Part of my skepticism may be assumption. I assumed Bombay has malls like other Indian cities, when in reality I haven't been there in years.

So perhaps there, it is a grand innovative idea.

This is where I want to see it go.

Lik, I owe you an apology for coming on a bit too aggressive...I tend to get that way from time to time so feel free to tell me to back offf...I like studying emerging markets (dorky, I know)... I can only speak from experience from what I've seen in Mumbai, India & Asia at large...I see trends not ever seen before...Mumbai is embracing this change, albeit in its own way...but there is a thirst, a desire for what is considered 'global standard', the likes seen in Hong Kong, Singapore & Shanghai...that's why M's vision is not out of the realm of reality, relative to what is going on in that country...

To your point about working with a builder, developer...the business meeting today suggested that they maybe talking to a developer; given the talk about net profit, variable interest & such this would make sense...

Btw, I'm a South Indian chicka myself... 😃 ...Mangalore via Mumbai via world-at-large... 😆

And yeah like I said I do agree that it can be a sucessful business. I just think it's something that people are already doing. My point about Kerala was simply because of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_shopping_malls_in_India#Kerala 😆 Notice the years.

You do bring up a good point, the standard is not America. It's East Asia and perhaps Europe. Because any American who goes to many of these malls in India (especially the Southern cities) are would agree that they're way better. Obviously because of the modernity of it all.

So I was just saying that I don't think anything he's brought up could possibly be one of a kind. Simply because of the amount of new malls being built. But again, like I said it doesn't mean a new mall wouldn't be successful.
