Mohan's being impressed with Kastur I think has more to do with the fact that when he asked, she didn't tell him. Though I don't think he realises that. He was most likely saying that as...saying whatever positive he can to try to cheer her up a bit.

Little things of Kastur have surprised him (and unknowingly impressed him) starting from the time where she gave him that whole big speech outside her house.

I don't think Mohan is getting in between Saroj and Kastur. It's much easier for him to go to Kastur, give her comforting words and tell her she's handled it quite well and it's not her fault, it's his mother's fault.

That part, while he's putting some effort into making it a better for Kastur, that is the easier thing for him to do, than go and talk it out with Saroj. He doesn't want to do that, nor will he do that.

Now Kastur, if only she stops with the crazy attempts. I think it's interesting Baa's advice comes to her after Mohan had just given his own type of advice. She takes Baa's advice of loving your enemy to the extreme. While Mohan's was implying more of a , it's not your fault, just go about your business. Even if he didn't say that outright, that's basically what he was telling her.

I think Mohan did need to be a bit sweet with Kastur in the bedroom after the Saroj yelling because he did overhear the conversation and he must have felt really bad for Kastur, shes come into his shit hell of a home having to not only deal with Baapji and his 🤬 but also his mum whose confirmed shes not going to ever accept Kastur and what her behaviours been like behind Kastur's back and now openly crushing the poor girl. If Mohan didn't say anything after hearing the stuff on the roof, then that would really make him a jerk for turning completely ignoring, someone needed to comfort Kastur and no one else knows Saroj's hatred towards Kastur except Mohan. He did give her a pepp talk and that was it, Kastur was left to think about it alone.

This stuff needs to be left now and we need to see Mohan and his work beginning.
