Recap
Both Kastur and Mohan enjoy the rain and Bharat Mama lets Mohan know that he knows about his smoking addiction. Saroj returns from the mandir with mohanthal as prasad, which Mohan reluctantly takes. They all remember how hard it had been to get Mohan out of India and the ruckus Baapji had created, and Saroj assures him that he will be allowed inside the house in a few days. In the meantime, Kastur asks her mother about the way she handles things in the house and in turn her mother teaches her about the qualities a dharampatni should have.
Short Update
1. Baa helps Kastur by making blank calls to the Gala house in the hope that Mohan will pick up, but Baapji picks up the phone all three times.
2. Baapji screams at Bhanu and Bhanu thinks that Baapji has found out about Mohan. In reality Baapji is blaming him for a consignment that's just been rejected from abroad.
3. Bhanu asks Saroj about Mohan.
4. Mohan asks Mama if there is a discotheque anywhere around. Bharat realises that Mohan has also started getting used to drinking.
5. Baapji calls the Desai house to congratulate them on the seemant. Kastur congratulates him back and thus reveals that Mohan has returned.
6. Baapji screams at Bhanu and Saroj.
Detailed Update
Part I
The episode begins with Kastur sitting glumly in front of the phone. Baa notices this and asks her if she sees Mohan in the phone too 😆 She then urges Kastur to make a call considering the amount of time she has been waiting for him, and dials the number for her. Unfortuntely for them, the voice on the other line is Baapji's. Baa imitates Baapji's voice and cuts the call, and does the same thing thrice.
The scene then shifts to Kirti Kaka making a spoof of Baapji, by acting like him, and making Vipul and Narmada act as Bhanu and Saroj respectively. They make fun of the way Baapji lords over him, when Bhanu arrives. Kirti says the same dialogues as Baapji - did you ask me? did you take my permission?, to which Vipul - like Bhanu - says that Baapji's not like that. Kirti then states that they should be punished, and how he will do that mukho khabar nai! 😆
At this juncture Baapji is seen fuming after a phone call and starts insulting Bhanu. He tells him I told you not to send it abroad and now look it's returned all spoilt!
Part II
Baapji runs screaming at Bhanu for sending something abroad. Bhanu, thinking that he has found out about Mohan, bends over at Baapji's feet and begs forgiveness. Baapji says that he shouldn't be forgiven - he should be punished. Bhanu said he'll take ANY punishment Baapji metes out. At this point Saroj enters and Baapji asks her where she has been all this time. Saroj tells her that she needed to drop off a friend, for which Baapji shouts at her as well. Bhanu is STILL holding Baapji's feet and Baapji tells him that touching his feet will not get the videshi customers to take the 'maal' back.
Bhanu now realises that Baapji knows nothing about Mohan's return and is relieved. Baapji continues his tirade, stating that the reshampatti masala is too spicy for foreign tastes and that it cost them a lot financially. Bhanu tells Baapji afterwards that Jitu's family wished him well and missed him, and Baapji agrees to call them with his wishes as well. With this he leaves, as does the rest of the family, and Bhanu turns to Saroj to find out about Mohan. Bhanu is almost speechless with joy that Mohan is back, and wants to know how he looks and sounds now. Saroj smiles misty-eyed and says that he's more handsome than ever. Bhanu is eager to call him but Saroj stops him saying that he must be tired (Loved this scene...Muni Jha was WONDERFUL here 😃)
Mohan in the meantime is talking to Bharat Mama. He asks him what one should do at night when one is feeling thirsty. Bharat says he should sleep after drinking haldi-wala doodh. Mohan rolls his eyes and says that's for children, he's talking about for adults...and then gets straight to the point and asks whether there is a discotheque anywhere nearby. Bharat turns to him and says that first cigarettes and now alcohol...where did he pick up all these awful things? Mohan retorts by saying that even Mamu must have done some drinking sometimes. Bharat admits this but also says that his Mami wouldn't stand for it. Mohan, shocked, asks whether it's possible to live by someone else's rules, and Mama says that it's possible if you love them. Mohan then says that whoever he marries is going to have to live with his rules, or live without him - "my way or the highway" 🤣 Mama gently tells him that he will realise all this when he gets married, and Mohan says whatever! and leaves. (And THERE ends our 2-3 minute Mohan segment for today...yeesh, even my SNIPPETS give him more screen space 😡)
The phone in the Desai house is ringing, but Kastur is still too nervous to pick it up. Baa urges her to pick up the phone and hears Baapji's voice at the end of the line. Kastur is pleasantly shocked at the fact that the phone call has come from Mohan's own house, and Baapji tells her that he is congratulating the family for the seemant function. She returns his congratulations and tells him that she is happy that Mohan has returned. Baapji is shocked.
He screams out for Bhanu and Saroj and accuses them of keeping Mohan's return a secret from him. He tells them that if Kastur had never told him then he would have never known, on hearing this Saroj is shocked and angry.
Part III
He asks him why he was never told and everyone else was, to which Saroj replies that they had thought Baapji wouldn't allow Mohan back, so they didn't tell him. He then screams at Saroj for speaking up without permission and then says that Mohan would have kept living in the house of an outsider, to which Saroj retorts that Bharat is in no way an outsider.
Baapji then tells them that Mohan will never be allowed back inside the house, and if either of them want to be with him that badly they may leave.
Precap: Bhanu and Saroj discuss over Mohan ever being able to return, and Bhanu tells her he will try. Saroj says that at any cost he has to get Mohan back to the house.
Episode Rating: 5/10. Terrifically boring, and now the constant focus on Baapji is doing TERRIBLE things to my nerves 😡 FOCUS CVS FOCUS!!
