Purvimeh based on the video can you share your pov on Mohan & Baapji.

I feel that video scene confirm what I was feeling earlier that Mohan is Baapji favorite. I think baapji was 💔 Mohan was secretly shipped out without his permission. Baapji is stuck in his way's cause he knows no other way of doing things.

The video indicates Mohan will be staying, so Baapji will take back his decision of Mohan never coming back in the house. I think baapji is happy mohan is back but won't show any emotions.

Def...Bcos that is what normally happens.. be it within India or outside india the basic mentality is the same. CV have done a good job..so far. It just been a cpl of episode.. if we have all the answers in one epi whose going to watch it... Slowly & steadily they are bringing FB.. they showed how he left & then the reason how & why he left...Am sure we shall get his POV of how he stayed & survived that world too...maybe in conversation or in form of FB..

If you notice from the time Mohan is back his basic expression have been that he has missed home, his basic innocence, love & respect has not changed... it become more of an identity / survival crisis..& prolly he is under a identity crisis still...

As long as the video is concerned... Well I agree to what you say... Mohan is the bright Gala boy... baapi did love him and prolly even expected him to take his place in near future... But Baapji come from the age of " Engraze Bhaart Chodo" hnec his prejudice to Wester culture is okie.. Over the years he saw the society change buhis morals did not and embedded them in his Kin...fair that how he is...but yet in many ways if u see from baapji POV he ain't wrong.. the influence is too strong that u forget the basic morals respect... like we see.. if he was the same Champy Mohan he would have bend & taken blessing & not hugged & said I love u Granpa..😆.. This is exactly why he wld be ticked...

Moving on... remember when Mohan left baapji said that he has black listed me in the society... so now knowing that mohan is back and is living at his Mama it would again be a society thing so from that angle he would be allowed to stay at gala;s... Baapji sure does secretly will be happy to have his pota back but will be miffed at his basic change.. & Mohan is not going to leave any stones unturned to make him more mad... hence "spoilt brat"...

@sam... Seeing Mohan Char and his love for UK...If the degree was there... Then he would have never never come back..home...! his coming back..& story from here is what DP is all about... This is the phase of the story... Mohan has to face a set back.. Saroj has to face a set back.. for going against Baapji... & Mohan would never have found the his true potential... I think the story is going to be interesting...from here and as HC says... Mohan is unpredictable...:)))

But seriously I want to see that scene... where Mohan hugs baapji!!! From the IF video it looks like HC has completely shaken the actor playing baapji...and I cant wait to see it 😆😆

And I want Mohan to learn from his mistakes by himself... not bcoz Kastur tells him he is wrong and how he shld do right... i just want to see her stand by him... If Mohan does not like baapji telling him what to do then I dont like Kastur telling him😆

I'd agree with Purvi here...much of this entire 'Western' attitude that he shows with his family is a mixture of a way of life that he is used to now, as well as a certain desire to see the shock on their faces at the changes in him. Most of the time he teases them with his changes. I see his hugging Baapji and talking in English as a veiled challenge...as 'see, I've become exactly what you were forcing me not to become'.

I have a feeling he's experience quite a few setbacks too, otherwise he would have never returned! Maybe he's completely out of resources and needs to run away from London...who knows.

I'd also agree that the main thing is that he is NOT completely unGujarati, he is just in a phase where he cannot reconcile his present identity with the culture that had once grounded him. He's still in a stage where he wants to be something else, and soon enough he will end up moving out of that phase and into eventual maturity where he will make peace with what he is, even if he's still okay with being Gujju even now...as time goes by he may take pride in it once more. 😊

Agree completely with the part in bold...I remember Purvi and I discussing this as not wanting to have Kastur hold Mohan by the figure and spoonfeed him, but that his journey should be one of SELF-realisation...of being happy with who he is and being proactive, rather than the cynic that he is now...

Oh Lizzy how I wish the CVs are listening to us right now... bcoz if you go by the title.. it is going to his wife helping him!!! but if I go by HC.. then HC would never select a show where he is not having a strong character plot!!

I guess what Purvi meant there was that it would be good to have Kastur as BEGINNING the process...ya know, she can START things...be a trigger...and he will take it from there kinds 😉
