So the highlights of todays episode:
- Ram conversing with Mahadev
- Sita's gladdened emotions
- Ravan getting irritated that Ram is able to lift the bow and pushing off 😛
Blooper of the day:
Hanuman came out of the moutain immediately when Ram broke the bow. So is he a natural disaster?😆
Mahadev's point was really good. The leela of the bow is over when Rama touches it and puts pratyancha on it (what is pratyancha?).
The whole sequence was well orchestrated.
But then only Parashurama came as a ... kabab mein haddi (correct na?)
I have never liked Parashurama, though I am a devotee of Narayana. Let us see what nonsense he does tomorrow. (Sorry for the ill language. But I just don't like Parashurama gatecrashing the wedding. How rude. But this is acc to RCM.)
IN Valmiki, Parashurama confronts them on the way, which is tolerable. But guess the CVs follow RCM more than Valmiki. Well.. no problem.
Precap: Bala Beemaha Maruti!

For the record, I'm a Parashurama hater. Not that it should matter, or does, but full disclosure - I'm a kshatriya.
In Valmiki, Parashurama was not the kabab's haddi. During their return to Ayodhya, Parashurama accosted them, and first confronted Dasharath, and then Rama. It was in that encounter that Rama strung Vishnu's bow, put an arrow on it, and gave Parashurama the choice of destroying his travelling abilities or his tapabal.
But it was still unfair - if Rama broke Shiva's bow, why didn't he break Vishnu's? Particularly since he didn't use that bow - he used Rishi Agastya's gift - the Kodanda.
Some accounts have it that this was where Parashurama's Narayan avatar ends, and Rama's begins. At least, this was Rajaji's explanation.
If only my CNAT Ravan vs Parashurama battle could take place.
Reeti, minor correction - RS marriage doesn't happen here - it happens weeks later, when Dasharath, Bharat & Shatrughan come to Mithila, and all 4 brothers get married on the same day. Also, Maryada Purushottam means ideal man, not idle man 😆
