Thanks for the update Sia.
Baby Hanuman was cute. Eagerly waiting to see the look of grown up Hanuman. Ravan was a Shiv bhakta till end. I doubt he would have talked to Shivji the way they are showing here.

Not just Ravana - but even Mandodari would not have talked like this to her husband. Her name is amongst the five Pativratas. She was only opposed to Ravana kidnapping Sita - not to his marrying several other woman.

In fact, by this time Ravana would have also been married to (and had a son -Atikaya- from) Dhanya Malini.

Maybe I should know better than argue w/ DkDM, but Ravan did have multiple wives, and sons from each of them - he was never monogamous. And Mandodari never had any problems w/ that - she loved Dhanyamalini & others, as well as their sons. So showing her as being resentful of Ravan's amorous activities made no sense.

Similarly, when Ravan approached Vedavati several episodes ago, she told him that he was already married, but that was irrelevant. Rulers both before and after Ravan had several wives. Dasharath had 3 - actually 353 wives, Ravan had all of his, as did Krishna. So Vedavati's - and Mandodari's opposition to polygyny was totally ahistoric - not that it matters here 😆

Exit question: If Ravan was insulting Mandodari by attending a swayamvar, wasn't the same also true of Dasharath of insulting Kaushalya by taking Sumitra & Kaikeyi? Or did he just do that b'cos he had no idea that Ganesh would be coming to his aid by freeing her? 🤣

Also, if Anjana has given birth to Mahadev's ansh, wouldn't that make her Parvati's saas, rather than sister? 🤣

Sankalp, thanks for the update.

I have not yet seen the update. So cannot comment too much. But I know that Ravan was Shiv Bhakt till the end and would not talk to Shiv with disrespect. He did have a big ego and had respect for very few. But Shivji is the one whom he respected.
Mandodari had problems with him kidnapping Sita but she would not object to him going to swayamvar because even married kings were allowed to go there per customs of that time period.
As far as Hanuman is concerned, he is considered a partial avataar of Shiv. So the ansh part fits.
My problem is with Raavan. I am missing the old Raavan and the actor playing Raavan who was very impressive and complex. This Raavan is a one-dimensional cartoonish villian. I would have liked Sita's scenes with that old Raavan where she would stand up to Raavan in her calm, controlled manner. Rubina is expert in playing such a character because she has done that before and old Raavan had that aura of egoistic, but not a one-dimensional character.

Angie, I agree. I much preferred Manish 'Chanakya' Wadhwa as Ravan, at that time, he was easy to appreciate. It's unfortunate that he left - they put too big a break b/w his building that palace for Parvati and then him trying to uproot Kailash. They should have had the entire Ravan track after Jalandhar's.

By now, I think any garden variety bhakt could have eclipsed Ravan in terms of being a greater bhakt, as per this serial 😆 Although more seriously, I never bought the claim that Ravan was Mahadev's greatest bhakt.
