17th July WU Dasharath's Aakhet & Shravan

Mahadev tells Parvati, an event will happen, which will reduce his Putra moha. A pious child will lead him to the path of selecting his way. I'll warn him now.

Dasharath is in forest for Aakhet.

Mahadev disguised as Kirat meets Dasharath. He praises his sense of identifying things. Dasharath says he can throw Shabdabhedi baan by hearing the sound. He moves ahead. Kirat stops him, asks is it right for a king to come for Aakhet? Dasharath tells him even he does the same. Kirat says he is doing to satisfy his hunger but for a king it is not required. Dasharath doesn't agree with his reasoning.

Shravan is taking his blind parents for pilgrimage. They are thirsty. Shravan goes to take water for them.

Kirat asks Dasharath to think before throwing his baan. Any kind of Moha is painful be it of Aakhet or his Putra moha. He disappears.

Shravan is filling water in a pot. That sound makes Dasharath think some animal has come to drink water. He closes his eyes, throws his shabdabhedi baan. Hearing Sharvan's voice he runs to him. He asks hiw what is he doing here? He says I am Shravan, taking my parents for Char Dham yatra. Dasharath says he'll take him to Ayodhya, will get him treated there. But Shravan asks him to take water to his thirsty parents. Dasharath asks his forgiveness . Shravan says only his parents can forgive him.

Mahadev is sad.

Dasharath takes water to Shravan's parents. His father recognizes he is not sharvan, asks who are you. Ayodhya naresh Dasharath. Shravan's asks has anything happened to her son? Why he himself is not here? Dasharath says their son is no more. They ask him how did he die? Dasharath says he died due to my baan, but I wasn't aware of him being there. What were his last words? Asks the mother. Forgive me, I couldn't complete your Char Dham's yatra. Were his last words. They are crying. Dasharath gives them water. Shravan's father throws that pot saying my son's blood is on it, I can't take this. Return our son. If you can't return our son then we can't live without him. We, Shravan's parents are cursing you, even you'll die crying for your son.

Parvati asks what is happening in that forest? Mahadev says Dasharath had come for Aakhet but is returning now giving Agnidaha to Shravan & his parents. He is scared this curse may come true?

He comes back to his palace, is happy meeting Ram.

Precap: King Janak is plouing land. Finds a very very cute baby. Janak & Sunayana are very happy seeing her. Shivji & Parvati appear there, he names her Sita.

Besides the obvious reason of giving Mahadev even more credit, can someone please tell me the whole point of Mahadev disguising himself and warning Dasharath? In which version of the Ramayan does this story belong? Serious question.

Dashrath's 2 boons to Kaikeyi, Shravan Kumar's parent's curse, Narad's curse to Vishnu (not shown in DKDM) and Vrinda's DKDM shraap to Vishnu were all working in tandem so that the Ramayan turned out the way it did. Mahadev (being trikaaldarshi) OBVIOUSLY knew that Dasharath was going to get a very important 'shraap', which would play itself out in the grand scheme of things. So, IF Dasharath had indeed listened to Mahadev and NOT killed Shravan Kumar, wouldn't that amount to Mahadev working "niyati ke viruddh"? Just imagine - DKDM CVs would've changed the whole story of Ramayan itself if they had shown Dasharath obeying Mahadev's words...😲 Seriously, being trikaaldarshi, shouldn't Mahadev know exactly when he should intervene and when he shouldn't (because his actions would then amount to working "niyati ke viruddh')?

Just asking - When Ravan plans to abduct Sita, will Mahadev appear before him too, warning him of the consequences? Or maybe Mahadev will disguise himself as Jatayu, and fight Ravan...I don't know.

thanx for the update..so Mahadev is now the official "Bua" of DKDM, naming all the characters??i thought Maa had herself told king Janak tht this baby is her swaroop and she shud be named Sita??i remember this from stories i heard in my childhood..also, Ram was named by Rishi Vashishth, not Mahadev..come on CVs..

Mahadev didnt do namakarans of either Sita or Lord Ram .. It was guru shatanand - the kulguru of Janak and Vasishta - kulguru of Dashrath who participated in the naming ceremonies of their respective kings as per Valmiki Ramayan .. thats what I recollect. In Mahadevs Ramayan .. Lord Shiva appears to be everywhere and doing everything .. Today he even tried to prevent Dashrath from proceeding on a hunting expedition .. At this rate, he may even organise Sitas Swayamwar and later even appear in Dashrath's palace to prevent things from happening .. Am a shiv bhakt as well as a Vishnu Bhakt and as a loyal viewer of DKDM .. I have borne with them twisting stories according to their convenience .. Mahishasur samhar for example .. the story line was a disaster and the never ending Jalandher saga (though some liked it ) but somehow this is now crossing all limits.

and one more thing in todays segment sita was shown worshipping shivling but i thought sita was maa gauri's bhakt

Today's episode was very sad. In both ways- that Shravan died and Dasaratha got cured as well as their changing the timelines!!

apparently everyone is either a Mahadev Bhakt or a Mahadev hater..there are no more neutral characters left..
