did anyone notice surpanakha used the word 'khud' when speaking to vibhishan whilst describing having seen raavan pushing mountains.

not sure if it is the scriptwriters or actors who interject these urdu-isms - totally incorrect for the era being portrayed.

not the first time it has happened. jars a bit in otherwise a very watchable portrayal of hindu mythology and history

Yes it was noticeable , it could have been an actor induced error

But I have seen such errors less on mahadev as compared to some other mythos

Even mama, mami, bhaiyya, didi is not entirely correct.

Even pitaji / mataji seems anachronistic. I think the BRC Mahabharata began this trend of suffixing a 'shri' to mata, pita, etc. I remember an atrocious 'phoophaashree'.

But compared to other serials, DKDM'a language has been chaste.

I think I posted this in one of the WU threads. They sometimes use wrong pronunciations. But overall their language is very good - better than other mythos anyway.
But yes, they should check their dialogues for such mistakes in words and pronunciation.
One basic mistake: Everyone says Sveekarya when it is actually Sveekar
